The driving could be cool, but I wouldn't want to play GTA on foot in first-person.

First person view while on foot? Sounds nice!

Hmm sounds interesting but according to that article the info was pulled as in it was suppose to be posted in the first place...Rockstar is usually on point (for the most part) when it comes to not leaking any info so I'm not getting my hopes hope.
For driving I can definitely see them doing it but don't they pride themselves on being revolutionary in the 3rd person mode? Again, it would be very interesting to see if they actually do this.

Yeah, you can see all that in the trailer too

Dammit, they're really going to make me buy this again aren't they? I figured I would just stick with the 360 version but since they're doing more than just a straight port I know I'll get sucked into upgrading.

You have to wonder if the game can be effectively played as a first-person game or if it is just a gimmick like the cinematic view that is cool but impractical.

If there is a first-person view, I hope it's like a shooter with your selected gun sticking out at the bottom of the screen and a reticule in the center, and of course aiming down your sight by pressing the left shoulder button, basically turning GTA into CoD.

I'm sure first person view is so they can maintain compatibility with upcoming VR headsets.

After swearing I wouldn't re-buy games I already own, I succame to GTA V Next-gen charms. I was able to trade in my 360 version for $22, and since it only cost me $40 at launch last year, I figure $18 is not too bad for 13 months of use. Figure between the trade in, GCU discount and $10 in Reward Zone certificates it will cost under $20 to upgrade. If the online portion is more lively and less buggy, that's probably worth the upgrade right there. Maybe some PS4 folks would be up for some occasional get-togethers online?

Do you guys think all of your cars and stuff will port over also? Or just the online character itself?

I assume cars, money, apartments, weapons, and rank will all carry over. But Rockstar hasnt said anything officially. I Hope we get some more news and a trailer soon.

I will be pissed if I get my level 200 character but nothing else I obtained while working my way to that level.

I don't see why you'd lose anything. Outside of a glitch in the system anyway. It'd be nice if it worked like Destiny does, which is seamless with your progress on the PS3 and PS4.

Anyone heard if there will be a ps4 combo pack when this comes out? Haven't picked up a ps4 yet, waiting for this or Arkham to hit. Can you play 3d movies on the ps4?

Returning GTA 5 Players on PS4, Xbox One and PC Get Exclusive Content
Only available to those who had the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions.
By Luke Karmali
Rockstar has announced any PS3 or Xbox 360 gamers who currently own Grand Theft Auto V and opt to pick up the new versions on PS4, Xbox One or PC will gain access to a wealth of exclusive new activities and rewards.
New events only available to those who have previously owned the game and opted to return will grant access to vehicles like the Imponte Duke O’Death and the classic Dodo seaplane, while a new Michael-centric mission will task you with following a series of clues to solve a murder mystery. Successfully doing so nets you two Noir Style Filters for use in Story Mode and Snapmatic photos.
Not to be outdone, Franklin will get his own set of activities to participate in via the Wildlife Photography Challenge. New species of animals across the land need to be documented and, as a reward for doing so, you'll be gifted with the Kraken Sub to use at your leisure. New Stock Car Races, meanwhile, will offer the chance to unlock unique custom Muscle Cars.
Other additions for those who opt to return to souped-up versions of Los Santos and Blaine County include being able to pick up the experimental Rail Gun, replete with its own set of Ammu-Nation shooting challenges, along with the gory Hatchet melee weapon. On the costume front, tracking down and photographing monkey-inspired graffiti around Los Santos will unlock new Monkey Outfits for all players, but those who have bought the game previously will get a special Go Go Monkey Blista.
Finally, the Cheval Marshal monster truck and a new and more maneuverable Blimp will be available. There'll also be plenty of classic GTA vehicles and some other surprises for new and old players alike, but Rockstar isn't planning on revealing them before launch day.
All of the above content will be available for returning players regardless of whether they had the PS3 or Xbox 360 version, and they pick up the PS4, Xbox One or PC editions.
Today's newsblast concludes with confirmation that all in-game content given to those who purchased the Special or Collector's Editions for PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to carry these bonuses across to the new versions, while anyone who didn't can purchase them with in-game cash. Created Jobs will carry over to the new systems and, as previously announced, you'll be able to transfer your GTA Online character to the platform of your choice as long as you have a Social Club account. A word of warning though: this can only be done once.
Grand Theft Auto V launched in early September last year, and we loved it. It made $800 million in a single day, and has since gone on to sell 33 million copies. At E3, it was announced for next-gen consoles and PC.
It's set to release on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 and on January 27 on PC.
