Doesn't Target and Best Buy usually run their B2G1 in November? This game would make a perfect filler.

This is the first time I'll say this....but I can't wait to pay $59.99 for the same game twice.

Info from the PlayStation Blog, therefor unnecessarily PlayStation-specific in the details:

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Sat this out last year in anticipation of a possible PS4 version. Looking forward to it.

Had no idea the PS4 was getting exclusive content. Interesting.

Feel bad for the master race. (not really)

I wonder if you can cross-platform your last-gen save like you could with Diablo III

I think Destiny might work that way too. Seems like your character is all server-side.

Isn't GTA the one where you could transfer saves across platform families? The original "dagger"? Seems like it would be a one-time deal.

Yes. That is the original .

Your multiplayer GTA V character is portable to any system, regardless of where you created it.

edit: to be clear, your SINGLE PLAYER saves cannot be transferred, as far as I've seen.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Yeah, the original dagger was cross platform saves but it was later clarified to only be your online save. Still neat and makes sense since that data is saved on their servers, but it would be neat if single player could carry over.

And man, I really eat crow on the next gen upgrade not being anything special. It looks awesome.

It really does. I should dump my 360 copy, since I'll most likely buy this.

I think you're referring to this:

The official Rockstar press release lists this content for both consoles and that Playstation blog obviously omits all the Xbox references. It is actually content exclusive to legacy players who purchase the next-gen version and migrate their saves. This will be available for 360 owners who buy the Xbone version too.

I'm more impressed by that foliage on the side of the road.

I'll be getting this, too. I had so much fun with the 360 version, it'll be fun to do it all again. The extra stuff is just icing on the cake.

What about DLC? Surprised we haven't seen any yet.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

As much as I don't want to re-buy this....I do because of Rockstar's attention to detail....I just hope it's not a graphical update.....GTA V is a weak sauce game when it comes to things to check out around the world...the city area feels dead and uninspired as well as the beach area.

We shall see

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I didn't see it above, but GTA Online is getting bumped from 16 to 30 players max. Yay, more tanks!

EDIT: OK Now I saw it.

Doh.

I'm still getting the new version despite having already spent over 400 hours online.

A friend of mine lend me his PS3 copy and now I'm not sure whether to start that or wait for the PS4 version.

Politely return his last gen copy to him and wait for the PS4 version.

Yup. I think I'm going to do that since I'm busy with Diablo to play anything else anyways.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

If you play through the initial prelude mission on the last-gen version while connected online you'll get exclusive content in the new current-gen version. You have to have a free Rockstar Social Club account too. I'd definitely do that at least while you have your friend's copy.

I wonder if that will work for people like me who are going from 360 to PS4?
