Casino and Racetrack need to be put in as well! Especially after earning all that money at end game to be able to play at the high rollers tables would've been a cool way to blow it all.

For me, the driving in IV is one of the two things that really brought the game down (the other being the friendship/relationship chore dynamics). I get that the driving was more 'realistic' but that sort of goes out of the window when you have a few wanted stars and you're trying to escape an *unrealistic* nonstop barrage of police vehicles.

The driving is why I quit GTAIV right off the bat. Much improved in GTAV.

The heists have now been delayed. (Most likely to sway us to get next-gen versions.)

I love how the article is on IGN and not their site newswire....they don't want that kind of traffic right now.

They should have never promised more upcoming news on these heists just a month or so ago - yeah, they're waiting for the new console launch. I think this finally explains why V was delayed for so long in the first place....keep the hype going into next-gen - they knew it was a gamble as not everyone is going to re-buy the game but they will still make a killing.

Actually, well played by them but it does suck that they dragged it out for so long and didn't come right out an explain - but hey, it's a business.

Meh the PS4 version definitely looks better but I wouldn't re-buy the game.

I don't know if anyone has seen this or not and I sure as hell can't say if it's legit (why did he need to be standing under the green light at fort zancudo?) but here it is anyway (GTA 6):

I think Vice City alone, after what we got with San Andreas, would be really disappointing. Who the hell figures this shit out anyway. Go here, be 100% done, stand in green light at 3 am while going to this website. I'll believe it when I see it.

I know. Actually, if I had taken the time to see how many fake videos there are beforehand on non-existent Easter eggs and info I wouldn't have posted that.....the number of fake videos posted by people on you tube is pretty crazy.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Just started this over the weekend. Getting constant freezes and have to eject the game and restart. It seems random and it wont let me save any vehicles in a garage yet. Not sure if that is an unlockable event or should be right from the start but either way it doesnt work for me. This is the only game that I have had an issue with.

When I installed the game (which took hours) it updated 9 updates so I assume I got them all.

Hmmm. They only other thing I can think of besides checking the disc for a defect is deleting the game file and downloading everything again.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Disc is fine from what i can tell. And i did delete the game file and did a complete file restore on the system because it wouldnt even install until i did that. Based on my looking online about this, it seems to be a common issue with a lot of people unable to play at all. I can at least play some of it. BTW, online works fine, it is only story mode with these issues so far. Back to redbox it goes. I will probably just get it for the PS4 when it comes out.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I didn't know if I should post this in the Lohan thread or here.

Lohan sues in NYC over 'Grand Theft Auto V' game

Actress Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit in New York against the creator and publisher of hit video game Grand Theft Auto V, claiming they used her likeness without permission.

The Associated Press reports Lohan alleges the video game, developed by Rockstar Games and published by Take-Two Interactive, uses her image, voice and styles from her clothing line.

Take-Two could not be reached for immediate comment.

The character in question is Lacey Jonas, a celebrity players assist during a mission in Grand Theft Auto V. In the game, players pick her up and help her dodge chasing paparazzi. Lohan claims the character is an "unequivocal" reference to her, reports AP.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has been know for its biting satire, poking fun at everything from celebrities to video games and social networks. For example, a Facebook clone in the game is called LifeInvader.

The series has also proven very lucrative for Take-Two and Rockstar. Grand Theft Auto V, which launched last September, generated $800 million revenue on its first day. To date, the game has shipped more than 33 million copies.

A version of the game will launch this fall for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Well okay then...

Just out of curiosity....does anyone know how GTA Online will work like, let's say when GTA VI comes out? will you have the same character along with all the same settings, cash, etc.....??

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this system. I'm guessing not but it can't hurt to ask.

I NEVER thought of Lindsay Lohan when I saw the blond on GTA.
-She is going to lose this just like everything else she has touched.

She either looks like Shelby Welinder or Kate Upton.

I seem to recall reading somewhere, before Online came out, that they wanted to have the various areas connected. Whether it would be one large map, or if you'd hop a plane to go from Los Santos to Vice City, I don't know. I don't recall any specifics.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

It looks like Best Buy added the PS4, XB1 & PC versions to the list for the $10 in Reward Certificates when preordering. So unlocked will be $47.99 + $10 RC. I think that's the route I'm going since I skipped on the last gen version. Still no release date though, but I think they are still saying by the end of the year.

There's still no hard release date, but rumors are that it actually got pushed back to early 2015.
