Maybe! Or they might just have higher standards for their games than just churning out something on par with other generic fps. Generic this does not look.

If you can wait, it looks like the Black Friday PS4 bundles are going to be The Last of Us and GTAV with the system for $400.

I'm definitely getting this but probably not until it's on sale. There's so much coming out in the next few weeks.

You could change the driving view in the ps3 version.

It was mentioned that there are different settings that you can set for on foot, in vehicle and other modes of travel. You can set each one individually to your liking and the game will switch to each setting while you play.

I know this has been answered, but I'm being too lazy right now to look it up: do single player game saves transfer, or only your online progress? I would hate to have to start over.

Get ready to hate it : Only the online portion continues. Story progression does not.

Yeah, I kinda figured. I'll probably pass on this for that reason alone.

Starting over and playing a full game with updated graphics and such sounds awesome.

Yes, it does. I never finished the story the first time around due to pouring so much time into the online, over 400 hours. I look forward to getting back online with my crew/real friends and family and knocking out a few hundred more hours. We all decided about 3 months ago to just take a hiatus from the game and play other stuff while we waited for this version to come out.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I took a week off when the last-gen version came out and burned through it in a week. 14 months later and I'm ready to play it again. The option to transfer saves isn't inherently bad but I fail to see the appeal of repurchasing a $60 game that you don't want to replay.

Like most of the whiny entitled nonsense people have mentioned with this game (upgrade discount, lower SRP etc.) I have to counter it with a reality check: my 100% 360 game is still there on my 360. I still own my 360 version and got my money's worth. I'm buying a new version and I can have another 100% save, I just need to play the game I buy. No big controversy there.

Sorry, I stopped believing this industry's bullshit long ago.

What's FAR more believable (just based on shit the industry always does) is that they held back this feature in order to re-sell the next-gen version to people who already bought it last gen.
How are you not living off the grid in a log cabin without electricity at this point?

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Honestly, slop's theory is possible, but it's also possible that while Rockstar had some prelinimary ideas, it would have taken too long to implement. Remember this game came out Sept 2013, making it the last big game of the previous generation -- any delay would have put it behind the launch of the Next Gen consoles (and as the sales of Gran Turismo 6 and (presumably) Borderlands the Pre-Sequel would seem to indicate, it would have resulted in a hit in sales).
Fourteen months affords a lot of time to implement new features.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

This is the first time I see an upgrade justifies the price. I thought it was bullshit charging full price but they added so much stuff and improvements it's totally worth the price.

Does anyone else think there will be casinos in this? I think they will since they're giving us a ton of money to start out with (1.5 mil.?)

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I am still undecided about this purchase. I bought and played through the PS3 version and still go back to it from time to time. The updates on this game look really nice and the FPS version of the game makes me really curious. But at the end of the day, do i want to pay for a remastered version of a game i completed only 12 months ago.

Maybe........

But not sure it will be soonish.

I am sure the reviews will be stellar for this. I am just not liking remastered games that only just originally came out. Why not remaster some old classics instead.

Plus, the game had already been delayed for the September release.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Just wondering, does this release have the DLC that were released for the last gen GTA V as part of the game? Just curious to know a full weapons and vehicles list.
