Borderlands is one of the better and more fun games in coop mode. The first was a blast and I suspect even more so with the second. Considering the amount of play thru time involved it'll pass the time much better than solo. And from some indications you'll need the help with some enemies.

I had a freakin blast solo. Probably put 60 hours into it before even playing co-op.

I never played it with anyone else, and found it to be one of the most fun games I've ever played.

The issue with coop is that the other guy needs to be the same level as you, or close, so both can have fun. Other way, one is doing all the job and the other is just getting the XP.

Same. I don't mind co-op on a standard FPS, but when it's an open-world RPG that rewards exploration and has quests that can be done in the order of your choosing, I'd rather not have to worry about matching someone else's pace.

That is pretty cool looking. I had the option of getting it OR the halo 4 LE and opted for Halo instead. While the "Loot Chest" has more cool stuff the Halo LE has more game wise.

Co-op is fun, the toughest part is finding multiple players around your level. I played Borderlands 1 this morning and easily found a group of level 8s, but there was almost nothing around level 24. It's also annoying when a level 20 jumps in and joins your level 1 players and just kills everything.
I like co-op better because you can specialize a bit, as Mordecai you can sit back and pick people off without almost ever getting in the face of enemies, and similarly with Lilith run and and do hit and runs while letting the tank characters take the brunt of the damage.

I played through solo as Roland first and then tagged along as the Siren with one of my buddies who was playing through it for the first time. I enjoyed both.

Never really played online much. Is a headset/chatting a must or can you play without?

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012
why would BB change from being able to pre-order for in-store to in-store only? and the store i pre-ordered from is even open at midnight to pick-up...
