my only issue is how costly would CGI be for a massive space opera. What could be a potential plot for such a series?

Uhg, no. I love the original series (despite how cheesy it could be) but the revival show was a complete bore.Originally Posted by pinata242

Given some fans want to boycott the live action movie if they make Shepard a male, maybe that's a smart move.

I played the first two as a woman, and will be playing the third as a woman. She's a lady, damn it.

I read some of the spoilers but didn't watch any cutscenes. I guess it all depends on how it plays out, not to mention how many alternate versions there may or may not be, but what I read sounded interesting and not necessarily bad. Then again, I'm a fan of

I played it as a man. I like to play these games as if it's me in the role of the main character (and base my decisions on my gut reactions, as if I were really faced with the situations presented). Couldn't do that as a woman, despite my love of the voice work of Jennifer Hale. Originally Posted by Supermallet

I always play games as if I'm taking on the role of the main character, but it's still playing a part. I almost always choose women in RPG's.Originally Posted by RocShemp

Why not play twice? There's enough variation in these games to keep it interesting for a second time. I always play through as male paragon first, followed by female renegade (love Hale's sarcastic and hateful line readings!). They're very different experiences, and I wouldn't want to miss any of it.

Speaking of Renegade Shep, I wonder how soon before we get "Shepard Is A Jerk 3".

I never had issues with Mark Meer's performance. However, I hated how Bioware edited together his conversations in such an awkward manner. Looking up some videos of Fem Shep, I saw they did the same to Jennifer Hale. Shame since she's so darned talented.Originally Posted by slop101

I get that it's hard given the dialogue options but I feel the lines could have been written to segue more smooothly. They did improve that quite a bit in ME2 but it was still present.
