I have zero interest in insane difficulty in games, so i'm good

I'll be playing on one level up from Superfro mode.

I walked in on release and bought the ME2 collector's edition. I don't care what extras come with it, I just wanted the fancy metal case. Now thanks to everybody overreacting that will not be possible. Goddamn babies!

Yeah.. I had not planned on getting the CE and just sticking with the regular edition I had preordered. But after playing the demo, I decided that I wanted to have a second copy and I wanted it to be CE.. but, its impossible to preorder any more and I have no hope at all that I'll find one on release day, even showing up when the store opens. One Best Buy I was at yesterday was still selling preorders for the PS3 CE, but that doesn't help me since I do 99% of my gaming on the 360 and everyone else I know getting the game is on 360. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a copy or find a store where someone didn't pick up their pre-order. I don't know why more aren't released as 1) they'd sell and 2) it'd make gamers happy. The CE isn't listed as limited or numbered, its just marketed as a collectors edition.

Anyways.. my hunt continues.

I'm just pointing out that 360 CE's seemed to have been in heavy demand before all the complaints about the DLC.

Which is another thing that most people wouldn't see, because the majority of people don't visit official sites.

Since each retailer has the same write-up for the CE, I'd say they're using a product description provided directly from BioWare/EA. I doubt Amazon, Best Buy, etc., would have held any information back, had they been provided it.

if they don't make a Mass Effect movie in the next 5 years I'm going to be royally pissed off.

Target still has the PC and PS3 versions of the CE up for pre-order. Sadly, no love for the 360 version.

I pre-ordered the PC release of the CE from them earlier this month. Hopefully they honour it because I coudn't find it anywhere else.

So which version should I get?

I've been playing 1 & 2 on the xbox360. I do NOT have internet set up on it, nor do I ever plan to.

My ps3 is hooked up for the internets.

I will probably never play multi-player, but never say never.

I'm leaning towards the xbox360, because my save files are all on there and I want to use those, but I'm wondering if I'm going to be missing out on some download content.

Any ideas?

There will be DLC, so if that interests you then the PS3 seems the obvious choice. Also, there will presumably be patches down the road that you might need the internet for.

That being said, I would be super upset to not be able to use my save files in the third game since decisions from 1 and 2 will carry over.

Also, the multiplayer demo was hella fun.

Why do you care about DLC for it now? ME2 had DLC, but you still chose the 360 for it.

I mean, it sounds like you're trying to talk yourself into switching over to the PS3 and sacrificing your saves for potential DLC and maybe MP. Any reason why hooking the 360 up to the internet is off the table? You wouldn't have to pay the $36 for a year of Live just for DLC.

I'd have to buy a wireless attachment thingy for it and don't want to spend that kind of money ($100?) for just DLC for just one game.

If it comes up, could you move your xbox to your router or modem and download it that way?

I remember reading about an Mass Effect game called Infiltrator for iOS where your progress can affect events in ME3. I'm not finding it in the app store, so obviously it hasn't come out yet. Has anyone heard anything more about this?
