Re: Mass Effect 3

Thought I saw something on Twitter this morning about if you had the character since ME1 you'd have to change it. Haven't been able to confirm, but that definitely blows if it's the case.

Same here. There will be a sale eventually.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Interesting. I read that although there is a facial glitch, everything else from your previous saves will work (though you'll have to remake Shepard's face). Is that not the case?

In any case, I'm pissed that Target has yet to ship my copy.

No...you're correct, but changing the look of your character in the 3rd act still blows.

Me too.

I just never much cared for the available facial options.

I wasn't able to import the facial features either.

I got the PC version from Origin. I was able to pre-load it last week. Last night, around 11pm, I decided to see if it would launch, and it did. So, I got to play the first section before I needed to go to bed. I didn't get to play long, but I've enjoyed it so far. Can't wait to play more tonight.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I made a couple minor tweaks to my character in ME2, so I was able to import with no problem. FWIW, I didn't end up using my imported face anyway. My Femshep looked pretty fugly when she was imported from ME2 to the new editor in ME3, so I ended up changing a lot.

More like too busy

Actually, I think it's more because the face I see in ads, etc are what I viewed Shepard as when I started playing, and felt that was the best. and yeah - I use the male

There is a huge thread about the face importing problem.

Re: Mass Effect 3

If anyone still wants the CE and has a Fry's near them, they have copious amounts of the CE just sitting around waiting to be grabbed; at least 20 for each platform at my local Fry's, anyways.

Re: Mass Effect 3

I thought all the facial options in the first two games were fugly, so I switched to default when I imported my character for 3.

Re: Mass Effect 3

For ME2 I really appreciated all the faces that people were making and sharing via the 'face code'. there were so many cool ones. Generic faces were lame.

Re: Mass Effect 3

Thats a huge blunder and I can't believe they didn't catch that. The whole hook of the game is importing your character from previous games. Really disappointing.

This doesn't surprise me at all, Dragon Age 2 taught me that BioWare's QA is not up to snuff.

Re: Mass Effect 3

The "evade the Reapers" minigame on the Galaxy Map is a nuisance. There's no real skill or challenge (or fun) involved, just pointless repetition. When they're chasing me, I just run away out of the system, go back in, run away, go back in, repeat over and over until I've gotten what I need and can move on. I'd rather be scanning each planet (or -- here's a novel idea for an RPG -- exploring them).

Re: Mass Effect 3

Ok, first time playing a game with an online pass. If I register the online pass with my gamer tag, will my wife be able to play online with her gamer tag (on the same console) or are we expected to buy a second OP?

This game is worth playing for EDI alone.

EDI is your AI on the ship. And more, but I won't spoil it.
