Re: Borderlands

We wrapped up a second tournament last night. After knocking out the first 5 rounds in a half an hour I thought we had set a good pace. However, by the end it still took us almost 3 hours to complete the damn thing. One more and then this game gets to sit for awhile.

Re: Borderlands

I let the game play overnight while I slept, farming those stupid Claptrap parts from MINAC's Divine Winds. What a royal pain in the ass. At least I'm just down to oil cans and bobbleheads and I *think* I'm halfway or so on each.

We actively farmed that area and I had my character with the +3 item finder and team finder mod. That and Moxxi's tournaments were some bad ideas.

I don't see how you didn't get them all in one run. What I hated most was that I couldn't get the clearly-visible oil cans that were underneath MINAC when he died.

I farmed probably three times to get the stuff. Twice for about an hour each (while I was doing chores) and then once overnight. I had way more than enough of everything by the last time, as I still had probably 50-75% of the map to still pick up stuff from when I got the bobblehead achievement.

Re: Borderlands

I didn't even think about turning on my +2 rare items mod

There, it's on now. I'll check it out this afternoon.

FWIW, I played through the game with two friends and one guy got the 3D glasses ach but the rest of us didn't. Didn't much appreciate those not counting for the whole time.

Re: Borderlands

I'm not gaining XP or items or useless cash. These is achievement whoring. TOTALLY different.

Re: Borderlands

I knocked this out 100% last night. Even when you're blazing those tournaments take at least 3 hours apiece.

Re: Borderlands

I think the Knoxx DLC might have been more fun than Zombie Island. Everytime Knoxx, or Mr. Shank opened their mouths, I was rolling.

Re: Borderlands

Definitely my favourite game from 2009. I loved it.

I still need to play through the last three DLC packs though. The only one I've played thus far is Zombie Island, which was alright.

I'd suggest staying at that point and retaining your positive opinion of the game. It was my favorite game from 2009 as well, and I really enjoyed Zombie Island. That was followed up by my least favorite DLC expansions of all time.

Re: Borderlands

Nah. Knoxx is probably one of the top 2 DLC expansions in my book. Amazing value for $10. At least get that one.

Re: Borderlands

Zombie and Knoxx are the two must have DLCs of the four.
I rank them as follows:
1)Knoxx
2)Zombie
3)Clap
.
.
.
.
4)Moxxi - Piece of shit if you ask me. The only redeeming factor is the storage you get.

Re: Borderlands

Knoxx was way better than Zombie Island, and that is saying alot because Zombie Island was awesome.

Re: Borderlands

The only one I've heard bad things about is Mad Moxxi's which I'm not really looking forward to. However, I'm a completionist, so I bought it.

Re: Borderlands

if i am level 45 soldier and someone who is level max comes in with me...can we beat Crawmerax, easily, together? if so, would someone here be willing to?

i know solo, as i tried, is absolutely impossible. i tried 4 times and didn't even make a dent with my status and/or weapons.

pm if interested in sometime today as i am lending it out Monday. if not, no biggie. thanks in advance.

Re: Borderlands

correct me if i am wrong, but if i save my Borderlands (soldier, lvl 45) save file to a flash drive and then take it to my friends and plug it in his 360, i can play co-op with his guy and mine?

if so, do i just move that save file into his Borderlands memory slot and we are good to go?

Re: Borderlands

I'm pretty sure you'd also have to move your profile to that flash drive so you can sign in on his machine too, but I'll leave it to the multiple-Xbox experts on here to confirm that.

Oh...didn't realize that...is something that is easy to do? Not even sure where my profile file is located and does he have to have Xbl Gold account for us to co-op?
