I upgraded my heavy weapon to the "Cyro Blaster" and it's awesome. I used it with Grunts Loyalty mission in the Rites part. It froze everything and sometimes in pairs. Even those large spider creatures the Klixen and nabbed two at once.

Ok...not sure if it's a glitch or just me...but just how is the M-920 Nuck Launcher suppose to work. I picked up and when I tried o use it all I got was "sound of air being realeased". On the sight it stayed at 79% for the whole level.
If this is a glitch then I had another one on top of that last night. I did the side mission where you go to the Blood Pack Base and follow the beams thru the fog. About half way while going backwards I ended up on top of some rocks and the whole team was walking on top of the fog looking down. We couldn't go down and it was in a small area so I had to restart but that was weird.

The Nuke launcher needs 100% ammo in order to work, I think, so if you don't have a lot of special weapon ammo, don't bring it along. It also takes a while to charge before firing, so you have to be careful. Damage-wise, though, it can't be beat.

So I actually need to increase ammo capacity.....again.....in order to use it? If that's the case is it a "one shot" deal or how much can I get out of it? Thanks for the reply by the way.

I'm not sure, since I fully upgraded ammo capacity and had armor upgrades that further upgraded capacity, so by the time I got around to using it I had > 100%. When you pick up new microcells, does your ammo not go up (do you just get 100 bucks)? If so, then I guess you do need to upgrade first.

I upgraded at thge start of the "Tali Loyalty" (going for the achievement of using all the Heavy Weapons). When I encountered the Geth and chose it and the sight was showing 79% off the bat. I think I'm at 4/5 of the Heavy Weapon upgrade.
The weird thing is and this may be ue to my character Sentinal, but I saw a video using this weapon and it was Garrus - Eye For Eye. tali was my next to last Loyalty mission and it just became available.

That nuke weapon is awesome. You just need more heavy weapon ammo. Also you'll have to charge it for 10 seconds or so before the nuke comes.

Well I look around then. Just wasn't sure on what I was doing.
I'm already planning my second play-thru....just a great game. My only regret is I didn't make notes about which planets and systems were loaded with material for scanning especially for Element Zero. Yesterday I found one small system that was loaded more than the larger ones, the Micah System off the Raheel-Leyya. I've been finding more and more tiny ones in asteroid belts that you really have to look for and those tend to be loaded even more than the larger and more obvivious planets.

Strange how fast this post just died....anyway I looking for some small tips.....not a whole walkthru.....on this final part. I only have Legion, Reaper IFF and the Omega 4 sections left. I've seen countless references to who & where your team goes and that's about it.
Other than that I've done 100% with all the systems. I've scanned enough materials to last through four play-thrus and kept a log of where the hidden missions (anomolly scan) were, rich to poor planets and where all the Element Zero is.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
This thread will pick up again when the DLC comes out at the end of the month.
As far as the who and where part, that won't come up until after you go through the relay. A screen will pop up giving you options on who you want to do a certain task. If you pick the correct character they have a great chance of surviving, if they're loyal, and if you pick the wrong character, they have a great chance of dying.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
You'll have to pick someone to lead the first and second squads, basically it's everyone that's not part of the group you play with. You can pick the same person both times.
If you want to have the best shot at everyone surviving you need to pick

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
I haven't opened the spoiler yet. I think I'll get my list up first then read it. I know Loyalty is important and I've already lost "Jack" due to Miranda. I also know a choice is coming with Legion and Tali. I've been using "Grunt" allot since he's got the "squad inferno ammo" along with Samara and her Weave. Even though I lost Jack's loyalty her Shockwave is still a favorite. Especially after is zap them with a Ice Blast

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
I just remembered and haven't gave it much thought but I never did DL the merc character Zaeed Massani. Considering where I am right before the Legion, Repear IFF and Omega run is it even worthwhile to do right now?

His loyalty mission should be pretty easy if you've done everything else. You don't have to do much to get him since you find him right at the entrance to Omega. I didn't use him very much after I reached the halfway point.

Regarding the personnel choices for the final mission, the game is pretty explicit in telling you what qualities you need for each job. The only choice that makes sense but will lead to a character death is (mild spoiler):
Also, here is a related tip for the very final part of the mission.

He is a tank like Grunt and pretty useful. I would get him since you will be carrying your save into Mass Effect 3. I wanted everyone possible on my team and everyone alive.

Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Finally started playing this today after being distracted by Darksiders and Bioshock 2 for the last month or so. So far, I've done the prologue and one and a half recruiting missions. I'm really enjoying it so far. It seems they've fixed everythign (inventory management) that I didn't like (inventory management) about the first one (inventory management).
The cast is pretty cool. I was playing when my wife was in the room and at one point she said "Hey, that's Martin Sheen!." So I made her try to ID all the other celebrities. She got Seth Green but couldn't ID Tricia Helfer or Yvonne Strahovski. I'll forgive her the latter since she's not used to hearing Yvonne's Australian accent, but Tricia should have been recognizable since we watched BSG together. I haven't met Claudia Black's, Michael Hogan's, or Adam Baldwin's characters yet, so we'll have to see if she can recognize them.

Pretty cool lookin stuff. So is this a "ship" only add-on with no actual off-world missions using Shepard & Co.?
