Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC - and coming to PS3 in 2011!

Well technically Fem-Shep was straight in ME1 since
Spoiler:
Liara isn't technically female. She looks and sounds female but she has no distinct gender, which is why she can gewt pregnant from a female or a male.
There is a video of Fem-Shep and Ashley getting it on in ME1. Apparently the conversations to that effect are still in the game's code but the actual scene was cut from the finished game. Also, Fem-Shep was orginally intended to be able to romance Miranda. Sometime during production of ME2, Bioware dropped that idea.

Sorry but, short of romancing mono-gendered Liara, that video is the closest you'll get to your les-Shep fantasy, Giantrobo.

That said, I'm surprised you can't romance Jack. Even in my male Shep playthrough, Jack has revealed she swings both ways. That lack of a girl-love with Jack option is almost as surprising as the fact that Jack is thus far my preffered ME2 female (despite the hotness of Miranda and how gosh darn loveable Tali was in ME1).

Well, my instincts told me that
Spoiler:
I should have reactivated the geth (Legion) after I finished recruiting everyone.
I should have listened to them.
Spoiler:
Poor Kelly is toast - err - goo.

Worst of all,
Spoiler:
my fish died after she was taken.

I'm still new at this RPG shit.

I figured, if I keep going back asking her about herself she'd eventually hook up with me. But I ended up pissing her off and then every time I spoke to her she was hostile. Fucking bullshit Bioware Dialog trees.

I know what you mean. I was confused at first when I realized that I successfully romanced Jack.
Spoiler:
(I even managed to stay on Jack's good side without siding with her during her argument with Miranda.)
Still, I'm glad I saved beforehand. I wanna get to know Tali and Miranda well before I make a final decision. And that's even if I choose to give up on Ashley.

Funny enough, when I played the demo of ME2, I was intent on romancing Miranda in the game. But when I played the first game, much to my surprise, I really liked Ashley. Sure, she seemed like a pill at first. However, once I got to know her, I really cared about her. So much so that I actually
Spoiler:
sacrificed Kaiden,
after a long internal debate. So I figured I'd stay loyal to her through my ME2 playthrough. However, of all people, I'm really taken with Jack. I dunno why (she's not my type at all) but I really find her endearing (despite her rage-o-holism and general psycho demeanor). So I'm debating staying loyal to Ashley despite the fact that she essentially (and understandably) dumped me, despite her email to the semi-contrary, or moving on with Jack.

I wish Bioware would add an Ashley DLC to better gauge wether or not that two year gap in the relationship is salvagable.

BTW, there are two times you can hook up with Jack. The first time she offers you a roll in the engineering deck and then again just before the Omega 4 relay. I was wide to avoid the first because it turns out it's just a fling and she refuses to talk to you ever again after that. Apparently it's the one before the Omega 4 Relay where she finally falls in love with Shepard. But that'
s during my current male playthrough. Apparently, though both women are bi, Fem-Shep and Jack don't hook up.

I finished last night. It was an intense final run. My entire team survived. Can't say the same for the crew. I chose Jack. I was tempted to go for Tali but something felt "off". I really like Tali and she's absolutely loveable but I felt rather opportunistic choosing her. Jack felt more "right". I'm sorry about Ashley but I don't feel she's the same person I romanced two years ago. Sure, there seem to be lingering feelings but I suspect that flame died to faint embers long ago.

I ended up with the fling with Jack in the engineering room and then romanced Miranda. It just seemed like Jack was good for messing around with but not exactly g/f material.

I was tempted for the fling with Jack but chose to get to know her instead. I really liked what I found out. She's among the most (if not the most) complex of the romance-able women in the game. Tali was a close second. I liked Miranda but she seemed too clinical. Sure, I bet she'd rock my world but I also get the feeling I wouldn't get much beyond that.

You know Bioware did an awesome job with the characters when people discuss them as if they were real

Absolutely.

I stayed true to Liara from the first game. Had I tried to romance someone from the second game though it would have been Miranda. I liked her character a good bit.

Just unwrapped this yesterday Took long enough! I guess I had wanted to finish the first one before playing this, but found the first too frustrating to make it all the way through. This seems much more refined. I like it so far. Chose to be a Sentinel as that seems like the most well rounded.
I'd like to thank whoever said a few pages ago that I should play as Female Shepard. She does have better vocals and is easier on the eyes as well.

Could we please spoilerize plot-related posts here, especially about the conclusion? Thank you.

You don't want to hear about the lesbian orgy after you beat the game? Fine.

Yeah but you only get that if you convince Garus to get the sex change. I just couldn't handle the thought of seeing a female (especially not a post-op female) turian.

Kmart has this for $19.99, picked it u and started playing, storline seems good, so not playing the first one I guess in 3 of the crew members I have picked up I might not know some backstory on them.

It's not just backstory. Your decisions in the first game directly affect the events of the second from minute cameos all the way to how supporting characters react to you and even the second game's entire opening changes based on what you did in the first game. Also, there are choices you made in the first game that will directly affect the third.

So, yeah, you should play the first game.

An article about the PS3 port of Mass Effect 2:

Mass Effect 2 PS3: More than an Xbox hand-me-down?

I find it funny that they compare it to Heavy Rain as if Mass Effect 2 were derivative of it. It's the other way around. Though both are derivative of other such interactive dramas of yesteryear.

It seems the ME2 SaveEditor is what you'll need to have a lesbian Shephard in ME2: https://www.wuala.com/Br4venue/ME2%2...OuBNBe&lang=en
