Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I know I said I didn't get frustrated, but on the Badlands map when some how, we started with Digi and Frizby on separate teams, then by I'm guessing some act of God the teams got fucked and it was me, Nic, one of the Sean's and Zeidos against an onslaught. I won't lie, I decided to quit after that game. It's seriously not easy for the rest of us when Frizby and Digi are on the same team, let alone on a team that outnumbers the rest of us. It is virtually impossible for us to use any aircraft when that situation occurs.
The most fun I had tonight was in the TDM bridge match, but other than that was pretty much meh.

Sorry about that. I switched teams because the other team was sounding frustrated and there was only 5 minutes left so it became more of a race against the clock type of thing. This is something that I worry about whenever doing things like Frizby and I outmanned as I don't want to annoy anyone else on the other team. Basically the way I saw the Badlands map at the time was that with only 5 minutes left if we switched anyone else to the other team then they still would not have had a chance to catch up, but if I switched then there would be a chance to make it an interesting game. Unfortunately it became too unbalanced.
If anyone feels like the teams are unbalanced or they are not having fun as a result of something that can be changed then please speak up. We had a great turnout tonight but unfortunately there was a general frustration as we could never find the right team balance to make it challenging and fun.

I really do think the best option is to put digi and frizby on the same team, balance appropriately, and make it a 5 on 3 or something. The best balance we had all night was on that map when it was digi, friz and me on the Archipelago. I mean, we lost, and it was wicked tough to get anywhere 7 on 3, but it was a lot of fun and digi and friz don't have to worry about holding back.

No problem, Ween. I made way more of a deal out of it than I should have. I sound like a dick in that post, and looking back I feel bad about it. What you did made sense, I just think I was more upset about it then because it was one of only two games that I was on the winning side of if I remember correctly.
Last night's game actually showed me some important things about my own style of play. I'm much better at defense than I am at offense. During the Badlands map I piled up the jeeps and aircrafts nobody was using at the entrance and pulled a tank in the back side to use as a weapon. Worked pretty well because the enemy team had to destroy the jeeps and other vehicles before they could get in or out.
The bridge TDM match was a lot of fun. I had a cat and mouse thing going on with one of the Sean's and Zeidos. Sniping back and forth from across the two bases. The dog fight match is pretty much intermission for me, I was just flying around and some how Chess managed to find me three or four times in a row so when I saw him coming the next time I popped a mine out the back end, I think Ween or Flip was there too, because I got somebody else (along with myself) with it. Was pretty great.

Don't you mean "pooped a mine"? I'm always looking for the gazelle that gets away from the herd.
I'm of the opinion that EVERYONE should start out playing defense and then mastering the vehicles one at a time (jeep, tank, then warhawk), so you're on the right track.

Funny moment from last night.
Very beginning of the snow map, I jump in a jeep and Chew jumps on the gun. We drive all the way to the other base. When we are getting close to the base, friz asks chew to change teams, I hear "Sorry Nic" and Chew switches. When I get to the base, Chew kills me!

We do All Talk. It's a game to have fun, not be super-competitive with team-only strategy talk. We'd miss all the funny lines if it was team-only.
You sounded good when you first came on, I didn't hear you much after that.
If you get the Snow DLC, you'll be mostly set. A good portion of our DLC maps come from that one.

I'm sure i'll adjust.

Chew comes off as a nice guy, but I'm pretty sure he's deeply evil.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
So I ended up getting some extra cash that I wasn't expecting for Christmas so I decided to pick up all of the Warhawk DLC for 15.99. The maps seem cool, and I LOVE the new vehicles (jetpack, dropship, and APC). Not sure if the people here have just the one DLC or all but hopefully I can make use of some of the DLC with all of you.

It might be time to migrate the time of night DLC shows up back another half-hour. We need some more jetpack action at a minimum.

Once a year for a bowl game of a "real" sport I get.
Every other week for regular season hockey confuses me.
Speaking of which...you wanna host Flip?
