Sean and son should be on...the kid is picking it up pretty quick...dad is a train wreck, so be gentle.

I don't mind some grinder specifically. It's actually kind of a cool map. I just don't like small CTF maps in general.

Are you up for hosting again Chew? I can do it if not.

Sure, I'll host.

What was the dogfight map that was requested?

The two best dogfight maps are the one you loaded (archipelago) and destroyed capital.

I think maybe my beef with grinder is a general lack of BALLS...well, that and teammates with ADHD.

Flip really likes the grinder...apparently. Throw him a bone...just make it late so we can keep the Seans on.

Sean is planning to get the DLC (a $20 PSN card) for his son for xmas.

More than the Grinder, I just like being a pain.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

So I think I'll be able to join tonight. I don't have any of the DLC so hopefully I can still get in on some of the games. I ended up picking up the official PS3 wireless headset and it's much better than the jabra was so hopefully everyone will be able to hear me ok.

The DLC maps are the last two of the night. You're good until about 9:40 CST.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Had fun, sorry I wasn't very chatty, I sort of forgot about the whole push to talk thing every few minutes but you probably didn't miss much other than me cursing when I was getting blow to bits! Definitely had fun though seemed like a good balance of beginners (myself!) and non beginners so it balanced out nicely.

One question, is the voice chat not by team? I am pretty sure I was hearing people on both teams which was confusing the hell out of me, plus it takes away some of the strategy. Speaking of, what few words I did say, did I sound alright? Like I said I picked up the Sony wireless headset and gave the Jabra to my brother (who had no headset) and I'm pretty happy with it thus far but just wanted to see if it was up to the usual standards.

Edit-BTW, I see the DLC for warhawk has a snow level and APCs, I definitely need to pick that up!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I know I said I didn't get frustrated, but on the Badlands map when some how, we started with Digi and Frizby on separate teams, then by I'm guessing some act of God the teams got fucked and it was me, Nic, one of the Sean's and Zeidos against an onslaught. I won't lie, I decided to quit after that game. It's seriously not easy for the rest of us when Frizby and Digi are on the same team, let alone on a team that outnumbers the rest of us. It is virtually impossible for us to use any aircraft when that situation occurs.

The most fun I had tonight was in the TDM bridge match, but other than that was pretty much meh.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

No doubt John. Lots of lopsided games tonight. The teams were really hard to get balanced.

I didn't really have a lot of fun tonight until the last 3 maps or so...and it was brilliant to hear flip complain about the grinder.

We do All Talk. It's a game to have fun, not be super-competitive with team-only strategy talk. We'd miss all the funny lines if it was team-only.

You sounded good when you first came on, I didn't hear you much after that.

If you get the Snow DLC, you'll be mostly set. A good portion of our DLC maps come from that one.

It's pretty hard to balance teams when it's Z, Chess, and Digi all playing on the same night.

Usually, it's not quite as bad.

I don't know which Sean is which, but one of them tended to just stand around in the lobby. You may want to tell him that's not the best of plans, chess.

When this happens, it needs to be either me and Digi shorthanded with Z on the other team, or me and Z against Digi and someone in the Nic/Flip range.

That's the dad...the guy I work with. I already gave him a hard time for that.

Can I suggest a more open lobby next week...something in a Badlands South City perhaps?
