Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Can somebody instruct me on how to shoot one of those balls of electricity that can stick to a building or vehicle? Every time I pick up the electricity thing it just shoots little sparks the size of a bullet and I don't know how to do that other thing.

nvm - figured it out. Have to charge it by holding down the L1 button.

I was searching around for a new avatar and came across these.

They apply better to other players, however.

For some reason, they still don't show...but I can see yours, and I approve!!!

I just ordered Borderlands, so flip/digi...I'm expecting you two to man up and play with me once I get a character up to a respectable level in single-player.

The Warhawk forum I snagged them from is down today for some reason.

I have Borderlands on the way too.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Does Borderlands have multiplayer DM and TDM matches? Or is it only co-op? I enjoy co-op good enough, but I don't think that's enough re-playability for me to purchase it. I looked on Wikipedia and it says Single Player, Co-Op, and Multi-Player which is why I ask (I tried searching! ).

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I think Borderlands is co-op only, but since it's the only mode I really like (Warhawk notwithstanding), I win.

I'm picturing you flip, digi and me terrorizing the wasteland, and it sounds like a good time.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Everything about Borderlands is the type of game I like to play......except the 1st person.

I watched some gameplay videos and didn't get sick, so maybe it won't be too bad.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Awesome...we need to sort out a night to play.

I'm guessing that the fact that it's not a "twitchy" FPS helps...along with the fact that it's co-op and reasonably easy to keep your targets in front of you.

Nah, I am willing to start a new character as well and start out at 0..although my "built up" guy is only like 22 or something.

Also, Borderlands allows for 4-player co-op which I have heard is real nice, so would be cool to get you, Flip, chew and I all together on that.

Coop only, but then they also have a DLC which is an arena mode where it is 4 vs the horde. And as far as replayability, I dont know if this game has it, but to me it is like Fallout where the first time through even takes a while so it is not about replayability and more just it is a long game anyway.

Maybe we should just all start a character from the ground-up that we only use in our games. I'm told that this game has some "MMO" qualities that might make that approach work best.

I'm in! I probably would have said Thursday, but it sounds like that's spoken for. Monday or Wednesday would be a tough sell around here just due to Warhawk proximity. Sunday maybe?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Keep me posted on a Borderlands night. I'll try to make whatever anyone decides.

We should decide whether we're all playing with beginner characters of if you guys want to leach XP from my Lvl 43 Hunter. You'll get as many XP as I do for the kills so you'll level up really quickly (and get a ton of cash), though the baddies are all at my experience level so you'll be doing more evading while I take care of most of the eliminating. Especially at that level difference.

I also have a Lvl 6 Siren. So we can go grassroots as well. I'm up for either.

I'll go with whatever you think is best, but I'd much rather start out at the beginning with appropriately leveled baddies.

Ditto, and I think I would want to keep our game separate from my "normal" playthrough (assuming you can do that with characters). It's just like Warhawk, where Tuesday is the only day I play...just in the interest of equity and not getting too good.

Also, if we want to roll with four different characters, dibs on the hunter.

How do you guys feel about Sunday nights?

Sounds like we're going with equal-ish strength characters; I'll have to play my Siren.

Sunday might/should work.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

If we start a Borderlands PS3 "Warhawk league" thread, do you think it'll be rolled into the main Borderlands thread?

I don't want Borderlands to start taking over this thread like MW2 did.
