Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I'm not anticipating a huge turnout this week anyway.
Eroc said he'd be there. Chew and I are always on early. Digi, Flip, Steve and hopefully Z should be in. R2 is "sporadic" and Nic is still out (I assume). I just sent Sporting a note, and hopefully Jigg will find us.
Snow theme tonight to honor the Pens...so their fans are pretty much obligated to show.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I count 7 probables, 2 sporadic at best and a new player. Sporting said he'd jump on for a half hour at most, R2 is p-whipped and Jigg is a tossup since he's new.
At any rate, I'd rather have 8 in the game and 1 waiting than 9 in the game...and I've always said that if my hosting limitations become a problem, I'll happily turn it over. I think Flip would agree that it hasn't really been an issue yet.
Do you want to (or can you) host tonight Flip?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Ofer posted while I was typing.
Assuming he's a solid in, he'll play from 7:30 to 9:30...unless his cheap-ass got DLC and I missed it.
So we have potentially 8+.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Fun games last night. I hate that it didn't mix up the teams more, and having not played with digi for a bit, I've definitely gotten lazy. He and Flip had me pretty well suppressed in the air. I worry for the games with digi, Z and me in them. at least two of the three of us will be on the same team.
Numbers didn't seem to be a problem, as we rarely had the full 8. I think Ofer couldn't get in, but that was the last map before the expansions anyway and it was the first time we had 8 all night. Hopefully R2 can deliver some fresh mea....erm....new folks to the game and Flip can start hosting full-time.
Also, apologies for all the coughing etc...I'm feeling like complete garbage...was even getting a little bit dizzy while trying to fly.

Other than everybody spawning in the same place for a part of the time, I liked the new lobby selection.
Although I didn't finish in first at all, I was in the top half of scoring for every map.
I'd say that was one of my better nights (including the fact I took down several Warhawks with my tank).
chess, I'll take a raincheck on that "I've got your back" promise you made last week.
I think we were on opposite teams the entire night.

it was fun last night. I really miss my ps3. I did well in 2 of the games. It was interesting with the split screen, since r2 and I were on differnt teams all night.

I noticed you hanging out on that mountain...kept meaning to snipe you or hunt you down w/ a Warhawk...but I kept getting distracted by Flip.

Done. I had the teams on random, so I'm not really sure why it did that last night. It was always you, digi and flip, and I always had Steve.

Frizby, you have to get on the ground more. I know you like your warhawk and all, but I dont understand the point of you being in the air when we have 2 up in the air, or if it is even just Flip. It generally just takes you out of the game completely leaving your other guys to play offense or it forces one of your other guys to sit in a turret all game which takes them out of the game offensively too. On the Island Outpost and Eucadia CTF maps you spent the whole time dogfighting with Flip while we racked up the points. To use an analogy appropriate to your name, you were using your Queen to hunt down our knight which left your King wide open to all of our other pieces. Not a fair trade(no offense flip
and even then in a warhawk I would just be a bishop anyway) and it would have been better to sacrifice some pawns to allow your Queen to free up. In a 4x4 game, air superiority is not that advantageous because all if takes is one guy on the ground with a rocket launcher to nullify that superiority quickly. Also, with our 0 delay respawns it isn't like you cant quickly respawn and hop in a warhawk to play defense to take down our flag runner.* Sit and watch for the most part, but take pot shots(preferably with a TOW or balls) when bored

Yeah, the teams never got balanced last night it seemed and even though they looked good on paper there were multiple games where I was just flying/driving around like an idiot in "frizby spectator mode"* which effectively made it 3x4. It seems like we should have manually rebalanced the teams at some point, although not that I know what the correct balance would have been.
