There was one CTF last night where I was rumbling in from behind the flag in my tank. I looked around for any opposition, didn't see anyone. I jumped out of the tank, grabbed the flag, and was promptly "blowed up" by digi from my just abandoned tank.

"Where the hell did he come from?!?"

haha...yeah, I love that move very dangerous to try to grab the flag with a tank unless you have backup or you can drive over the flag directly...at the very least you need to park a bit closer to the flag to limit the amount of time you are out of the tank. On that map you can drive the tank up the stairs and get pretty close...just be ready to hop in your tank if someone creeps up on ya

Ween,

Fair question. When I'm on the overmanned team, I usually just announce that I'm going to chill-out for a bit and let my two team-mates give it a go. Really, the whole team shouldn't have to hold back...just the best player, which in most cases will be either me or you.

Chess: "Could you explore when you didn't have the flag?"
Me: "Flag?"

BLAMMO!

All I could do was shake my head and chuckle.

It was an interesting map, and I don't disagree that it would be a decent lobby...but it is a pretty mixed bag...especially if you don't have a ton of people, which is usually the case in the lobby.

I think it would be more interesting as a TDM in the heart of the night when it's 3 on 3 or 4 on 4.

Maybe make it shorter in duration (15 min) and put it as the first expansion map? I don't know if people are going to get frustrated or not.

Great! Always good to have more Warhawkers.

And a fellow Pittsburgher too.

I'll plan to host again next week, but as always, I'll keep an eye out for growth.

I'll find a home for that map this week Flip. I'll just keep it short and see how it goes. I didn't love it, but it's an interesting change of pace in that it's so vertical.

Every time I grab a flag from a tank, I make a point to have a good look around first, and I still live in mortal fear for the 4-5 seconds it takes me to grab the flag and jump back in my tank.

I sometimes rush in without looking to grab the flag hoping there's no one defending and get blown up.
The good news is that I will be able to play this coming Tuesday!
Chess, still passing the Warlord trophy around?

Oh I definitely think it would get really old if used too much. I'm into it for the change of pace, just as you mention. And I'm very curious to see how having more people changes the dynamic. It think it just as likely that it might be retired forever after this Tuesday.

I'm not sure who has it now...pretty sure it's not me, but I'll check.

I don't know...it could be a really good time...and if we were ever gauranteed a bunch of people in the lobby, it would make a terriffic K&N match.

We'll see how it goes...probably the second expansion map after Communique. I really love that map for some reason.

A knife and 'nades and jetpacks match could be interesting.

I'm not sure. I've done it once, and it basically turned into a jousting match. I did like the jetpack lobby from a couple weeks ago though...might give that a run.

In other news, I got a friend invite last week from a PSN name something like "Young Rapper". I don't know whether he's a ringer, but I've seen him on Warhawk all week.

Not sure...looked at his Warhawk trophies, and they don't look too bad...just have to worry about a second username, which some folks have been known to do.

Ditto...was looking at maps earlier today.

I'd like to request a Collection map thrown in this week for a little change of pace.

The DLC maps are typically later in the evening. If all you have is the main game, you should be all set for the first couple hours.

The first DLC map shouldn't come up until about 9:30 CST.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

The other day a friend of mine came to visit and he wanted to play something in my PS3. I put him Warhawk and made a split screen player game and we were fooling around. He asked me about trophies and explained them to him. Achieve certain goals and get a trophy. He told me if I could get one to show him and I wasn't sure if it would work, and it did! There are like 4 or 5 trophies in Warhawk trophies I got this way.
