As long as your game is online, this will work...but I would never do such a thing.

The only trophy I've tried this with is the Sniper trophy. And I still failed.

I am projecting irritation in your general direction.

I think I must have done something wrong with the game setup not to have gotten this trophy. I hit someone so far away I couldn't even see where they were in the scope, I was aiming at particular parts of buildings and the other person was moving in line with the bullet trail he saw from his perspective.

Shenanigans.

The trophies with a cluster bomb , 8 swarm kill, 6 swarm chaff, to a warhawk I "cheated" and also the "are you aim botting" one. My friend had fun doing them and I also had fun.
Warhawk fun!!

I totally cheated on the aim-botting one!

I did the same thing as Z on a bunch of others...showing a buddy the game and ended up making a game of getting obscure trophies...including the sniper one. It was stupid far away, and I am...shall we say...incredulous that Ofer pulled that shit off legitimately.

I earned all of the Warhawk ones except for one secret one in the Vaporfield glacier.

I think you might have to host an online rather than local game.

Well I know youre not calling me a liar; but I do pride myself as a person who tells the truth.

Now I can say I wasnt going for the trophy and I dont know when or what I did to get it. But I know there were games I played where I just sniped alot of people.

Sorry to say I won't be able to join up tonight. The gf is sick, so I've set her up in front of the tv and sadly she doesn't feel like playing for me.

Next week, gadget! But you guys have fun tonight.

I thought I was going to end up in a quick-draw for a minute there!

Kind of a weak showing tonight...lots of 2 on 2 or 3 on 3...but man did I laugh my ass off! Too much fun. When I watched Eric kill himself with his own TOW, I think I peed a little.

And watching Chew and Flip leave my base over and over on Badlands was a riot.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Sorry I was in and out, had a bunch of stuff going on outside of the game.

Did get one highlight/trophy which I thought I would never get, which was dropping a cluster bomb on frizby in mid air for the kill. Yeah, he may have been hovering(shooting at me though at least!), but damn if it wasnt a perfect shot as I flew right by. Had the game basically on mute though so couldn't hear if you even knew what happened there.

I guess that explains why you didn't hear me on the snow map. We were rolling pretty well on that one!

It seems like hiding with the flag in the rafters of those bunkers is the new fad. There was one point where I was in one of each base's bunkers a few minutes apart and both flags were hiding in the rafters.

I have to give up on trying to take out a tank with the rocketlauncher. I think I hit a couple of them about 3 times a piece and didn't take any out. How many direct hits does it take, anyway?

I won't be on next week as I'll be away on vacation for a couple days. Try to go on without me.

That was a phenomenal shot!!!!

And yeah, I knew exactly what happened...but I couldn't figure out how you were alive to do it. I'd just hit you directly with a large missile and 2-3 seconds of machine gun, which would normally take a Warhawk down easily. You didn't seem to be glitching or anything, but the game is just odd like that every now and then.

Still...f'ing phenomenal.

It makes for a cool dynamic where you have to gang rush the bunker...but flags never get captured until it goes into sudden death mode. I can occasionally poop a cluster bomb in a bunker, which is funny but not terribly effective since the other team spawns right there to re-grab the flag.

I think it takes 3. I usually try to lock on with the first shot and dumb-fire the other two. You'll also need some cover to pop in and out of between tank shots. Combo a couple of grenades in there as well.

You'll be missed. We'll have to try to get a few folks in earlier than usual next week, since Chew, Z, Steve and myself are usually the first 4 in the game. Flip is usually on before the end of the lobby as well.

One time you were pounding my tank with a rocket launcher but I kept hopping out the back to wrench my life back up. I think you hit me with 4 or so before I just ran... and then got killed by debris when digi (I think) blew it up with his tank.

IIRC, I was too far away to even see that.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

A wrench and a tank is a mean combo...tough to take down with anything short of a Warhawk or binoculars.

I'm fully convinced that the most dangerous thing in Warhawk is a dude in a tank with a wrench and a rocket launcher. It pretty much takes two people to take that down, no matter what you're doing.

I've actually considered turning the wrench and biofield off, which is a menu option. I just wish they had the same option for mines.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Who am I kidding...the TOW is near god-like.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that the TDM on Northern Bridge was a terrific round. The blue team never pulled ahead, but we made a hell of a game out of it. I think it was a 1 kill win. I kept meaning to go over and teabag Steve for binocular spamming, but I'd always get distracted by Digi.

I'm pretty sure we had a lot of close games last night...though I unfortunately had to sit out quite a bit to keep it that way. It's amazing how "randomized" teams seems to end up more fair than "balanced" teams...though there was that one game with Digi, Eroc and me on the same team.

Better attendance people!

Dont remove the wrench...that is the only thing that gives the tank any hope of balance with a warhawk...especially a warhawk with a TOW in a 3x3 game

Fair enough...but if it weren't for the TOW, the tank would be nigh unstoppable if you know what you're doing and have a wrench.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I couldnt stick around much last night but I had some fun. Except for when chess rules the sky! I barely got a warhawk and before finding a weapon, you got me with that electircity friz. How the heck do you get it to stick to a warhawk; or at all really? I got one and all I could shoot were little bursts. I held the button down and it seemed to do nothing.

The wrench should never go. Its the TOW that really ruins this game for me. Oh and the binocular spam was pretty big too. I dont even know where to find most of the icons to these fucking weapons

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Funny, I hardly remember ruling the skies last night...eroc and digi were all over me on a couple of maps.

Folks who use the TOW as a long range weapon bug me too, but I use it just like a cluster bomb...short range...in and out. I also don't use it nearly as often as I could. I try to mix it up with cluster bombs (love to drop my balls on people) and electro-bolts.

Don't worry, I dig the wrench too. I just think about mixing up the options every now and then...a little team damage here...zero time to spawn there...a new map or two...etc.

To use the electricity burst like that, you just have to fly around with it fully charged (starting at 10 ammo and holding the button down until the circle fills). Sticking it to a Warhawk just requires a good shot. The funny thing is that it doesn't really do that much damage, but it's disconcerting to be stuck up there in a Warhawk with that thing stuck to you, and folks tend to panic a bit. Hitting ground targets with it is fairly easy.

If you ask in-game where to find the binocs or anything else, I will ALWAYS share, assuming I know. In the map where the binocs were overused, there's a pair at the top of the tower on the red side and a pair between the buildings on the blue side. If you are on the red side, there are some particularly good places to hide and binocular people.

Sorry to bail out early but family came to visit and had to turn the PS3 off to greet them.

I totally forgot about that! I had some absurdly lucky shots in the lobby with long range grenade throws.

Also, if you guys ever want to practice in the air, let me know in-game, and I will either back off of you or hoof it for a bit...provided the balance of the game will accommodate it.
