I remember the very first time I played with Chew. For a good (and I'm not exaggerating here) 30 seconds, he shoots, stabs and flamethrowers me as I just stand there looking quizzically and not saying anything. Eventually, he asks "Why can't I kill you?"

I paused for a bit before telling him we were on the same team.

Was it one of the first time Chew was playing?

It was the first time I had ever played Warhawk and the first time I had ever played online.

Sorry Chew, just an endearing story...could've happened to anybody. Flip just reminded me of it.

It was our very first day, and Chew and I were the first ones on, I think.

Say, chess... don't you think you ought to post your map list so I can approve it? Make sure there's no CTF Grinder or that POS defacto dogfight DM we had last week? We've been playing some really screwy maps lately and I just don't want to go down that road again. Not again.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Most of the maps I load will be on the list I posted for you a few weeks back, but I do owe you guys a couple of smaller CTFs.

Will try to post a list tonight for feedback.

Any specific map/mode requests, just post here so I can explain in detail why they suck.

IIRC, there was talk of a snow map in the expansions? I'd like to see that one.

As long as we aren´t far from each other and don´t have to rely on Warhawks to go from one point to another I am ok with it. I will be able to play around 8:30 CST tomorrow.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

FYI, I got those Real Triggers that were being talked about in the PS3 thread and found them annoying for Warhawk when you are trying to fly or drive...I just found that they pushed my fingers too close together.

Zeidos, it was good to have you on that server a couple nights ago, although you popped in at the wrong time as the teams were too unbalanced at that point. Hope to see you and others again in the public servers

They snapped off twice on me during last week's Warhawk.

I joined the server you were playing and as I never played enough of the expansion packs the jetpacks were a new dimension on the way the game was played. I was a bit lost cause I tried shooting someone in a jetpack and kept missing or they were gone, it was hard unless I had a rocket launcher. You guys were owning the map all over in that game.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Tentative list...feedback welcome:

Badlands - South City - DM - 30 min (non K&N lobby...been a while)
Island Outpost - Standoff - TDM - 20 min (fun little map, but not good for flag)
Archipelago - Acropolis Assault - CTF - 20 min (tried and true)
Eucadia - Valley Battle - Collection - 20 min (worked well as Collection)
Badlands - Supply Chain - CTF - 20 min (tried and true)
Island Outpost - Over the Bridges - Collection - 20 min (good map from last week?)
Badlands - Fortress - CTF - 20 min (small flag map as promised...might move this up a bit)
Vaporfield Glacier - Communique - CTF - 30 min (long snow map for Chew)
Tau Crater - Crater Clash - TDM - 20 min (Jetpacks FTW!)
Omega Factory - Rumble Dome - DM - 30 min (for the stragglers)

I shortened the map length by 5 mins each, so we should get to Vaporfield right at 9:30, so Chew should get to play.

I may swap in one more small CTF...King of the Hill is smallish and fun.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Glad you like it.

It's not a map I've played, but it's symetrical, has a nice mix of vehicles and looks like it has potential to be fun. I ran around in it myself for 10 minutes or so.

Being from Wisconsin, I should have an advantage on a snow map.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Why do I fucking bother, putting everything aside and rushing home to play with you guys, only to be booted after my first kill.

Well, it's been a blast.

Hope to see you guys on the public servers.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Dont know what happened Flores, I never saw you on. I only lasted 2 rounds. Had fun but needed to get to the store real quick than I ran a mile as it was already 9 and I knew the expansions would kick in

Saw you on a public server flip and joined you but you bailed half way in.

Playing split screen w/ my 11 year old, I get to see on two screens how aggressive you're playing, and in 30 seconds, you dumped two TOWs and a cluster bomb despite the fact that your team was up 4 players to 3. I honestly just wasn't interested in having to tell you to pull back all night.

My hope was that at some point you would self-moderate, but it just hasn't happened.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Fun games tonight fellas. Most games were balanced pretty well with only two having blowout scores (both collection maps). The small CTF was pretty bad too. I need to find a small one that works, but it's harder than you'd guess.

I really liked the snow map, despite having to sit out the first few minutes. IIRC, Chew had a great round on that one...maybe something to that Wisconsin advantage.

I spent a lot of time in the air tonight, which I don't mean to do. It was partly just trying to give my kid air support. Hopefully I didn't upset anybody too much.

I worked a bit on my jeep skills last night.....and got stuck. The one CTF map with the two bridges leading up to the base: I tried to run somebody over and got caught right inbetween where the bridge ended. Couldn't move forward or back. The good things is: I actually did run over at least 3 people last night.

chess, your son is pretty good. He took me out a couple times.

Loved the snow map, hope to see it again.
