Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Without thinking of tonight's Warhawk goodness, I stupidly agreed to pick up my gf from work. So I'll only be on for the first hour.

Well I'll be there all night obviously, and I need enough of you around to keep me from going back to Fallout 3. I need to leave that world for a night!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
It was a fun low-key game last night. We ended up playing a lot of 2 on 2 with everybody out, but it turned out to be a lot more fun than you'd think.
Funniest moment of the night for me was feeling pretty good about myself for something I'd just done, turning around and looking down the barrel of Chew's tank. All I could think to say was "fuck".
The other one that cracked me up was Eric telling Chew "turn around, I'm right behind you" and five seconds later Chew saying "where are you???". It was a "had to be there" moment, but damn it was funny.

I looked around, but couldn't see anybody.
I was definitely working on my tank skills last night, I need to start getting good at something vehicle-wise. I still can't figure out how to take out a slowly moving Warhawk....they have to be stationary for me to have any luck.

So yeah, learning the tank will be a great step for you...and you should do it while ween is out for sure.
digi could probably give you better advice on shooting with the tank, but i found that it helped to bump up the aiming sensitivity, and rather than "chasing" the target with my gun, I try to predict where it's going and aim there...then just shoot when it crosses.

Hmmm, where is the aiming sensitivity in the menu?

I think you can hit start any time in-game and pull up your control options. You can (and should) customize them for on-foot, the tank, and the warhawk. At a minimum, bump the aiming sensitivity up for each, as the default puts you at a bit of a disadvantage.
You could set up your own local map and just play with the controls for a bit.

chess, what's the best way to practice with the Warhawk? There's only so much you can work on the Warhawk in the public games... there are just too many cheap-asses playing below their skill level to accomplish anything positive with the 'hawk.
And here's the lesson I learned yesterday. You can't drive a tank directly over a jeep. It just doesn't work. I'm glad everyone got to see that driving display. As I was approaching the jeep (which was blocking most of the path) I was deciding whether to blow it up but I waited too long and just decided to try to roll right over it. So don't try that at home, kids.

Are you sure you can tear yourself away from Fallout?

It's tough, but I think I can take one for the team. Fallout is really good though! I figure the only way I'm going to stop getting a hard time for flying is when a couple of you pick up the yoke.
I'm committed to watching a movie rental this evening (my penance for Warhawk night perhaps?). Is Cloverfield worth two hours of my life?

I would also like to take 'hawk training if possible. I try to get away from other 'hawks sometimes but eventually get hit (killed).
Would have liked to be on yesterday but was very, very far from my PS3

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I'll shoot for 7 on tomorrow night...usual password.
First recommendation: Control settings to pro-flight. It's pretty disconcerting at first, but ultimately allows you to do things you otherwise couldn't and is VITAL for missile-dodging.
It's tough to transition from regular to pro-flight. I know from personal experience. So it's best to start now.

Tuesday's not a bad idea...start at 630 with flight school, knives and nades at 7.
