My 60g still fires on all cylinders. Have my backup slim, but the old bastard's a trooper. Sitting the unit up on two playschool wooden blocks has really decreased fan noise.

Nice. I lost my 60GB, so I've been there.I just noticed a trend amongst all of my fat owning friends...folks who I know take care of their stuff, and it was looking like fats had a fairly short shelf-life. Maybe 2-3 years with regular use.
Hopefully the cooler chips in the slim will make a difference, but I'm sure my drive will go out or something.

I had no idea what to sit it up on to get it up away from th shelf surface - that could work since right now mine is standing vertically on the entertainment center next to the TV.

They're perfect. The long skinny ones. My daughter won't miss them. She only uses them for projectiles anyway.

Completely worth the cost of the game and the DLC. Less than the cost of a happy ending from an Asian masseuse.

Yeah, I gave him pretty much the same answers I would in the thread, and he found the game for something like $7 shipped.

Yeah, certainly eventually I will need to get a slim and I certainly hope they have improved it as $300 for 3 years is alot relative to the other options. Going to try the fix at least 1 time more and depending on how long that lasts maybe another time. But not real interested in cracking it open every 3 weeks.

I appear to be getting better with practice. Did it last night, started at about 10:15 and finished with enough time to play a game of NCAA. Tried to hop onto BFBC2 with you, but your server was full. Anyway, back in action again.

Thought about joining you guys for some BFBC2 but I was totally engulfed by Mass Effect 2. Good Stuff.

How is the hit detection on BFBC2? One of the most frustrating things about Black Ops is that you can be standing directly behind someone, pull out your pistol, aim it right at their head, and it doesn't count as a head shot. Even if they're not moving, and you see blood fly out of the top of their head, it doesn't kill them.

I can't speak to that...seems like when I shoot something I hit it, and when I miss, it's my fault. If anything, it seems generous on hit detection. The only exception for me is occasional frustration with the knife where I think I'm close enough to get all stabby, and it just doesn't connect.

Anybody interested in douching up a Warhawk lobby tonight? I hope to be on sometime tonight. I'll be in one of the APC lobbies.

Hit detection is pretty good - Better than Black Ops. As long as you are not lagging it is as good as MW2 is with strong connection. I get tons of Headshots when I am sniping - realize that the bullet drops as your distance is increased - you have to compensate for long shots

Anyway, I think flip said it best when he said "Warhawk Bitches."

Yeah, that is definitely the way it *should* be done. If only I could snipe on the run like that, yikes. That was quite an assault they launched there though. That is definitely the way I like to play recon though, although I miss considerable more often...but I am in the front line spotting and laying down charges. Much more interesting then sitting 100 yards back taking pot shots.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
They have their place, but far too often I am playing rush where we have like 5 or 6 snipers who provide zero value because all they do is sit back and take pot shots. They don't help in any way to set the charges and many times when playing defense they just sit there and keep sniping all while the attacking team is laying charges on the mcom and make no attempt to diffuse. You don't need that many snipers.
