Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I did love the map you used for the lobby this week. Being able to just sit in that tree and snipe everyone and hearing people moan about not being able to find me was great. On that same note, Nic is a douchebag for killing me there. Also, I was committing suicide on purpose as I simply could not give you the satisfaction of killing me, Chess.
Notice I was still very, very conservative with my TOW usage even though you conveniently left my jeeps out of the lobby.
You owe me next week.
In fact, I don't think I was the first one to TOW anyone on any of the maps (except for that Steve teamkill on Collection). In fact, multiple people TOW'd me when I wasn't even close to a flag, sometimes right inside my own base when our flag was already half way across the map. I think you TOW'd me twice in the beginning of the Badlands map, and then a tried a third time but I Just barely flew away in the Warhawk, Chess. I'm going to just attribute that to payback for the past couple of weeks, but if I keep receiving the same treatment people bitched me out for, I will quickly go back to reciprocating those nukes.
Steve, I was planning to log off before that collection map, but I couldn't let you have the last teamkill laugh, so I stuck around for the first couple of seconds, TOW'd your ass, and left. Owned. That back and forth we had on Archipelago was the most fun I had last night
I know some people were getting really frustrated during the games last night (which reminded me of those 'Video Games:Serious Business!!!11!' posters), but all and all the scores seemed very reasonable to me. I don't think any team ever got more than two flags ahead of the other team, and I appreciate that a lot and I had a lot more fun because of it. And Chess, you did try very hard MOST of the time to balance the teams, but that game where it was Digi, Z, You, and like three other good players, versus the rest of us (which included Hunter). At first I thought you didn't notice the horrible imbalance, but even when you did it remained the same and you guys just laughed about it. Kind of a head scratcher there, but whatever, I still had fun.

To be honest, I kind of hoped that map would have jeeps. I really loaded it on a whim and had never played it before. And I didn't learn until later in the night that you could even hang out in the trees.

My only real irritation last night was with Z early on, as he seemed to be playing really aggressively...but he always settles down when asked. Otherwise, it was all in good fun, just not a lot of the games were competitive (even if the score seemed close). And I really have to stop always putting myself on what I perceive as the weaker team.
And you need to GET A FUCKING MIC!

I really earned that one too. I think I'd TOWed you twice that map (apologized in advance for the second one)...but to be fair, you were carrying the flag both times, and you guys did kick our butts.
Anyway...congrats!

That was loads of fun on Archipelago, especially when someone said that there were two people in the base trying to kill each other.

I haven't gotten any better than when I started (still just playing the one night/week) but yeah...Z has gotten pretty good...digi is pretty scary (at least amongst our regulars), and all of the originals (Steve, Chew, Flip, etc.) have gotten good in one way or another.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I was actually tearing it up for a short time there in my tank on the Snow CTF map.
I rolled into the enemy camp and took out a bunch of guys (some a couple times!) before they could get into any vehicles.
It was nice to be on the other side of the "spawn and dead within seconds" base overrun for once.

You almost facilitated me getting out of there with the flag, but Digi ultimately made short work of me on the ground.

I thought about trying a "I'm done playing this game" April Fools joke, but I couldn't come up with anything really good.
Plus, the crapload of Dark Knight threads in the Movie forum have soured me on April Fools jokes today.

I heard about that via another thread. It was good enough reason to stay out of the Movie forum today.

Oooo! And it's free on the EU PSN!
Edit: Hmmmm. Maybe not. I read somewhere that it was but now it doesn't seem like that.
Edit 2: It was incorrectly free on the UK store but has now been corrected. Bummer.
