Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Chew's probably too excited about his new Hellfire SMG to get too worked up.
I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing night of ragdoll death and carnage, a couple of patented Slider Suicide Ball Drops, a knife to the back from Chew, R2 making fun of nic, trying to figure out what to call the second nic (I'm thinking of calling him "number 2"), and flipperbaby suicide.
I'm hoping to push a jeep off a bridge or cliff tonight. I love that!

I honestly thought he did better than any of the newbies that have joined since I have hopped in, and he definitely did a lot better on his first go than I did on mine. Tell him I called him a punk bitch.

Alright, I am going to try this tonight. I will not get in a warhawk at all unless we are losing...if we are winning I will just play defense and if we are tied then I will play either offense or defense. Any other ideas?

I don't think it would hurt for you to get into a Warhawk, just remember this is casual. If the game is even, or you're up by a point or two just hang back and ball random people who aren't in chase or capture mode. I think that should be a general rule of thumb, no team should try and dominate a match, if you're more than two points ahead you're being way too aggressive and competitive, keeping a one or even a two point lead is far enough I suppose.

Yeah, this is what I have been doing for the past few weeks and that is not working I don't think. The main issue I was seeing last week is that even if we were down there was grumbling when I got too heavily involved and then even after we tied it up and I hung back it seems that the damage was done and momentum swung completely. My theory is this is because the assumption was that I was going to continue playing the way I was when we were losing which made people give up assuming all hope was lost even though at that point I was already flying around off in the distance. I am hoping that maybe making it more obvious that I will pull back if we are tied or winning then that will at least prevent that scenario. Maybe not though...
Either way, I never try to dominate, although if we are losing then I assume that all is fair.

I think the problem is you guys enjoy winning, and it's not so much that we don't enjoy winning as we do hate losing. We don't really want to give it full effort, but we don't want to lose either.

I think that if something's way off in the team balance, chess should call a TO to reorganize the teams as best we can. If we just take a minute to balance, it should help with frustration and prevent digi and chess or Z from idling above like Greek gods while the rest of us go through the motions, knowing that any minute the gods might get angry and unleash a TOW.

Nice!Balance isn't just about the score, but it's a start. I just ask that folks (especially the better ones) ask themselves "how will this affect how much fun people have in the game" and also, take a look at the teams in the beginning of the round. I can't always balance them as it's not always possible, and you sometimes have to balance them with your play.
Let number 2 know that he probably got nic's share of TOWs and BALLS last week just out of sheer confusion on my part.

Tricked me into provoking your brother.
Also, I'd like to point out that I love getting called out for doing things numerous other people do in other games. 'Turret camper', for example.

I wish you had a mic...we're mostly just messing around with you about your playstyle.
I've got no beef with turret camping for that matter...just please don't TOW people from off the map. That's kind of cheap.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Apologies to all for my behavior tonight. I had a buddy over and was a bit saucey.
Lots of terrific games tonight. I can only think of two that got lopsided.
Noted tonight:
Chew is getting really good on the ground.
Sean was kind of holding his own tonight.
Chew and Sean > Flip and #2...didn't see that one coming.
It was kind of fun giving digi a slightly lopsided team...happens to me all the time.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Last night was the best night I've had in a long time, and by best, I mean "most fun".
