Lost > Hockey. I would take one second of Lost over a lifetime of hockey games, or any sport for that matter. Like I said, in future weeks I'll be on for the first hour or so.
And I'll be on CoD afterward, but some of you don't have that.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Rough night.
The teams were way out of balance all night...seemed like it was consistently Sean, Chew, flip and me against some combination of Steve, Nic, eroc and Z, which is a perfect recipe for gang rape...especially with Z playing super aggressive.
I always get irritated when folks play other nights of the week with more skilled players because they pick up aggressive habits. That's specifically the kind of stuff I started this game to avoid. I'm not that good, and I don't even want to be that good. I just want to putz around and LMAO one night a week with similarly minded and similarly skilled people.
Pretty bummed, but I did have fun with nic, R2 and flip on the jetpack DM at the end of the night. Those are always hilarious. "Oops!"
BTW, I recorded Lost...it took like...a minute.

Yeah, not a lot of fun last night. I would try to either Collect or grab the flag, only to get blowed up in a few seconds: rinse and repeat all night. I was certainly attempting to play some offense on the collection map, chess.
Up for some Borderlands tomorrow? I'm watching Lost tonight.

I'm absolutely down with Borderlands tomorrow night, and yeah, I know you guys were trying on the collection map.
I just generally play a supporting role...either protecting our flag carrier as best I can or taking out their flag carrier...neither of which matters if we're not playing effective offense.
Really, the problem last night is the typical game had the best player along with probably the 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players on the same team, and nobody seemed interested in balancing the teams out or dialing back their aggressiveness. When that happens, we kind of lose the purpose of the game, which is to enjoy your beverage of choice and
at the craziness. Instead, I'm spawning in front of enemy tanks etc.
I actually thought once or twice... "I wish I was playing Borderlands right now", and that's just wrong, because given the right circumstances/players Warhawk >>>>>>>>> Borderlands.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
In terms of team strength, and not intending to offend anybody, my basic take is something like this.
Tier 1: digi/Z (both play semi-regularly with better players)
Tier 2: Steve/frizby/eroc/ravenous (solid, but strictly once/week...if that)
Tier 3: Flip/Nic/R2/Slider (I can see Slider moving up a tier pretty quickly, and Flip is right on the cusp)
Tier 4: Wiz/Chew/Sean2 (Wiz just isn't on much, and Chew self-limits but is very close to moving up)
Tier 832: Sean (he's not watching Lost...he IS lost...plus that fucker stole my space heater!)
We basically need players of similar tiers on each team, and we need to do it early in the round. If you guys want me to call out the changes and will make them, I can do that. I always hope people will take the initiative and recognize lopsided teams.

I wasn't trying to base rape you then, our flag was in your base and I knew if I got out of the tank I would be killed so I stayed inside the tank until the flag was ready to be saved quickly.
As soon as I had saved the flag I turned around and drove the tank out of your base.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Last night was a pretty consistent Tier 1 and three Tier 3s against a Tier 2, a Tier 3, a Tier 4 and Sean...hence utter and complete gang-rape...which isn't fun to be on the receiving end of every game. I can laugh at getting my butt kicked for a game or two...provided I'm not spawning at the end of a tank barrel...but at some point it gets ridiculous, and I just want to log off.
But it wasn't all bad. Flip did a pretty decent job with the maps, I got some awesome "BALLS!" in, and messing around with the jetpacks at least let me chill out a bit before getting off.

I know you tried to back off toward the end of that round too, so thanks for at least making an effort.

I'm a cusp! Woohoo!
My maps have been solid two weeks in a row. I just want everyone to know.
Just to get off the disgruntlement.... what did everyone think of that alternate snow map? At first I thought it was massive but it wasn't really that big because it wasn't the full length. It was probably the same distance as the other one we've been playing. I enjoyed it, but thought it would have been better with a few more guys. We were a little light for those last couple of CTF maps.
I'm still
at the reaction to that TDM on the second map.

I'm generally not a fan of CTF maps that aren't symettric, flip. They always seem to favor one side or the other.
We have played that one before though, and I do kind of like it....but it feels like the guys in the city have a tactical advantage.
