My copy is ready for pickup tomorrow at Best Buy. Was going to go with TRU or Fry's but at this point I'd rather know I have a copy for sure. Cannot wait to start it.

So that demo that was released will automatically expire soon right?

I ask because I tried it last night and it was shit, as in buggy. It took forever to connect, to find players, than while playing my guy would just stop in his tracks, stop shooting, do nothing! He would just stand there and it was like my controller would die. WTF was that?

What does money matter in the game? I dont recall needing any playing the first one

Multiplayer upgrades for one. I'm not sure if there's a singleplayer use as well, as I haven't played that yet.

I have played that quite a bit and have had none of the lag issues you are having. It might be your connection. My connections have been very smooth with 0 lag.

Haven't had any issues playing the demo at all.

Except now it says that the content has expired. I thought today was the last today to get an entry into the Limited Edition contest. Alas.

UNCHARTED 2 Demo Ended – More Chances to Win the Fortune Hunter Edition

Hey UNCHARTED fans,

Hope you guys have been enjoying the multiplayer demo these past two weeks. Remember that UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves goes on sale as early as midnight tonight at over 800 GameStop stores (Check here for store locations).

The main reason for this post is that we just got word that the multiplayer demo ended earlier today and unfortunately we won’t be able to get it back up before the game launches. So for those who wanted to get on and play some UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer goodness, you’re going to have to wait a few short hours till the game goes on sale.

I know we had a contest running with a chance to win 10 Fortune Hunter Editions every day Saturday through Monday…so here is what we’re going to do. For Saturday and Sunday we’re going to increase the number of Fortune Hunter Edition prizes from 10 to 20 each day. For Monday, we’re going to honor the contest by drawing 10 winners from all those who logged on this morning.

Chances to win the Fortune Hunter Edition don’t stop there. Funny - I wound up cancelling my Best Buy order pickup since Fry's had it for 49.99 this morning. I just got an email with my Best Buy pre-order bonus code for the gold-plated guns for multiplayer.

I'll never play the multiplayer, so first post asking gets the code. I assume it will work but I guess there's a chance it might not since I cancelled my order.

So in good fun I decided to celebrate Uncharted 2 day by wearing my shirt half tucked, Nathan Drake- style at work. I kissed my wife before I left and she untucked my shirt. She must not be hip to the Drake..

So...I thought the first Uncharted was pretty boring overall - beautiful, but boring.

It was a very strict formula - find a way to get to place A, kill bad guys as they come flood place A...find a way to get to place B, kill bad guys as they come flood place B...ect.

Is this one more varied in it's gameplay?

May I just say that this is one of the greatest game openings ever. I was just stunned by how brilliant and disorienting it is. Played through the first two chapters and loved it, even though there's been almost no shooting yet. I guess that's kind of a plus that you can have that cool an experience without even introducing the main form of gameplay yet.
So far there seems to be a much bigger emphasis on exploring and platforming, and in my book that's a good thing -- the first was too much Gears, not enough Tomb Raider.

Again, voice acting is beyond excellent. I'm really really impressed so far.

I don't think I got any bonus for completing the first game. I think they only check trophies acquired, not same saves, so us suckers who bought the game at full price and sold it before the trophy patch get screwed a little.

Amazon was supposed to send us a Treasure Map. It would be nice to have BEFORE playing the game, but that isn't happening so far, it seems.

Does anyone know -- can you now save your progress mid-chapter? That was an annoying thing in the first game, having to finish a chapter before turning the machine off or losing all your progress. I didn't have the guts to try and find out during Istanbul.
