This game makes me want to buy a PS3. Between this and the handful of other games I would buy - and BluRay - I think it might finally be time to jump in.

Naughty Dog was always one of my favorite Playstation developers.

Newest Entertainment Weekly gives it an A-. Says even the seventh or eighth best scene in the game is way better than the whole of the last Indiana Jones movie.

I'd pretty much agree with that. Less cheese in this than Indy had. Sad to say the game seems more realistic than the movie.

I'm completely unable to log onto a game. It just keeps searching for players.

I have played the first 2 hours of it, the graphics are amazing.

That's not a good sign since the full game comes out next week. I hope they upgrade the servers soon.

Keep in mind it's just a multiplayer beta, and there's usually only around 15,000 people on at one time, so when games open up, you'll be placed. Once the retail game comes out, a bajillion people will be on and it'll be just fine.

That is what's scary. If they can't handle 15,000 people then a bajillion will be too much. Hopefully they will break out the super servers come release day.

I think he meant that you will find games/players faster when there are more people on, not that the servers couldn't handle it

I didn't get any noticeable lag when I played earlier, so that wouldn't be a server issue

Yeah, no lag here either. Yeah, 15000 people, most of them constantly in games, yeah, it can occasionally take a little time to get into a game. But it's about 50/50 for me. When there's more and more people playing the game, that's more and more potential people to link up with that are waiting to play a game at the same time you are

I tried searching this thread to no avail--whats the consensus-- should I play uncharted 1 before getting uncharted 2?

I think it has been said before (if not here) that you shouldn't need to play the first to enjoy/understand the second

but.... I would highly recommend playing the first one just to be familiar with the adventure and the characters

The first one is badass anyways.

Just finished up the game, and it was solid throughout. Some clipping issues up against walls, but otherwise graphically it was a beast. Facial animations are looking great, lots of emotion in them as well as the voice work.

I thought the final cutscene was absolutely perfect. I think it nailed what it was going for, and proves that games have come a long way and are a lot closer to hollywood than we think.

There's a money bonus for having played the first game, and a bigger money bonus for having completed it.

Also - time to complete on Normal was just over 10 hours.

Release date delivery on my Amazon order and it still hasn't shipped yet.

I'm glad that I cancelled then and plan on picking it up in store.

Didn't we go through this with another high profile release recently? As I recall, the emails came later in the evening, but the game was still there on time.

I don't doubt it'll be here tomorrow, I just thought I'd have the shipping notice by now. It does say "shipping soon".

I want to say the ODST thread had the same conversation around this time of the day before.

It's not like I'll be playing it tomorrow anyway.
