Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Despite the fact that the shootouts were excessive and the area exploration all too brief, I absolutely adore Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. If they manage to balance those aspects more evenly in the sequel, come fourth quarter, I'll be all over Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

For now, here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtN0B...layer_embedded

Wikipedia has some info on the plot: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncharted_2:_Among_Thieves

Sounds interesting. But I hope we haven't seen the last of Victor Sullivan and Elena Fisher.

I'm guessing if one of them does return, it wont be Elena since it seems they're following the "new girl/new adventure" route of pulp action/adventure film series.

Anyhoo, here's another teaser for the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XulKf90ptSs&NR=1

I liked the first a lot, and will definitely be checking this bad boy out.

I liked the first one alot, so I'll probably love this one. Unfortunatley, this probably means there is no upcoming Jak game.

Looking forward to it, but I also would like more explanation than the first one had.

#1 has been the sole highlight in the PS3-exclusive catalog (for me), I'll buy #2 on day one.

I just finished the first one a couple weeks ago. Best exclusive game on the PS3 IMO. Can't wait to see what they do for the second one.

Those were my complaints from the first too. I still really enjoyed the game, and can't wait to see what they do with the second one. They already have a solid engine and solid mechanics, with better pacing and more variety they would have a great game.

I agree that the first one is the best PS3 game out right now. So I'll be buying this for sure.

According to this month's Game Informer there will be no load screens, improved cover system and context sensitive movement ( slowing down through snow, etc..) plus they are really supposed to be pushing the hardware to its limits.

I'd rather have a Heavenly Sword sequel.

I hope Nate has a full roster of hand-to-hand moves (I've still found a few more context sensitive hand to hand attacks on subsequent playthroughs of the first) and his exstensive list of one-liners.

I've yet to play Heavenly Sword because, despite everyone telling me it's loads of fun, everywhere I go they want $59.99 for it and I hear it's about a 5 hour game. Hardly worth that kind of price tag.

That is a lot for the game. It's a lot of fun to play and it's pretty funny to boot, a good time all around, but it's not worth $60. Uncharted however, now that's a fun game. I can't wait for the sequel.

Do you mean more exploration, because the plot, while pretty routine, cliched and explored similarly in both the last Indiana Jones and National Treasures movies, seemed fairly straightforward to me.

I think Breakfast with Girls meant "exploration", Decker. Probably just accidentally wrote "explanation".
Spoiler:
Unless he wanted to know more about the Decendants (which are unnamed in the game proper) and where the heck that weird mummy inside the idol came from.

Is it just a coincidence that the second picture there looks just about identical to the first level of Resistance :Fall Of Man?

I remember playing the demo in stores, but don't own a PS3. I didn't think it looked all that good. Now you guys have me curious, but I don't own a PS3 so oh well. Maybe I'll get it for cheap in a year or so.
