From what I remember in the first one, it saved your progress wherever you were in the chapter. Maybe that was something they patched, as I did come to the game later on in its life, but I was always able to pick back up at the section I left off.

My brother shows up with my copy Thursday night. Midnight viewing of Wild Things and then back to play Uncharted 2. I can't wait.

it puts you at the checkpoint...and they are plentiful.

I wound up waiting for a chapter break last night too but I do believe L&O is correct.

Got this last night at BB since they had a $20 off a ps3 headset and I wanted another one.


The multiplayer was awesome, but I had "host left game" a couple times. I think I was the host. is there a way NOT to be the host? or does it just list the player at the top?

Anyone got stuck at the beginning of Chapter IV, when it looks like you should have grenades and its giving you the onscreen prompts on throwing them, but nothing happens??

Great game so far, but wow, no matter how good graphics get the eyes in the cutscenes just look creepy/bad.

^^^ Crap.....nevermind. I was trying R2 even though it says L2. That seems weird.

Yeah it seemed that way for me too here and there but I wonder if it had something to do with being inside the structure where the grenades were.

I do think it's awkward you have to use L2 to aim and L1 to throw.

Sooooo can't wait to pick this up this weekend. There doesn't seem to be much excitement for this here, but my friends that played this yesterday & today say it's phenomenal.

Yeah its a skin you can get and you can play the whole game like that, it was in part 1 too. As for the guys in Chapter 25 you have to hit them with a lot of shots before they go down, other than that just keep away from them and pick up the crossbow after you kill one first, it is a really strong weapon.

The crossbow is ALWAYS a strong weapon. Apparently a small wooden shaft shot had 1/10th the speed of a bullet is way stronger. Where have you been?

So far I've played 2 hours (20% Done) and it feels like only 30 minutes of actual gameplay. Lots of cutscenes. And half of the gameplay seems to be just walking forward. But I've enjoyed it. The story is amazing.

The crossbow is just about the ultimate weapon in that game!

so far the game is alot of fun, but its far from what reviews are calling one of the best games ever. I still not a fan of the shooting in this game. But the platforming, cutscenes, visuals, audio, story are fantastic. Gameplay is good but nothing outstanding so far.


I think this game is getting close to being overated. the presentation is top notch, but I havnt been blown away by the gameplay yet.

I think the presentation is a huge part of the gameplay. The things that happen are so well handled that it's amazing to think it's only a video game.

Sure some are essentially QTEs without the button prompts, but again that elevates the gameplay beyond what's been done because it trusts us as gamers to do what we need to survive.

If I never hear "Head for the fountain" again I'll be happy.

Now I have to finish Uncharted 1 first and find some time to play this game. That would probably happen until next week.

Picked this up w/ the Buy 2 Get 1.

I loved Uncharted 1 and am enjoying this game a great deal, but I can't help but feel the gameplay is a bit outdated now. The lack of freedom within the self-contained areas and somewhat clunky setup of the objectives is mildly disheartening. Many aspects are so linear that you don't even have to know what you're looking for, the game will direct you to the ledge, item, or lever. They aren't bad, and keeps with the feeling of an interactive movie, but the gameplay mechanics feel rushed. Graphically the game looks fantastic in spots and a little unpolished in other places, but the story structure, writing, direction and voice acting are all top notch.

It's a lot of fun still, but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.

I'm probably the only one that will ping on this (since they are short parts of the game) but I'm getting a little tired of Jungle and Sewer settings. Further proof I play too many videogames haha.
