That's one of the very few I play repeatedly as well (yup, about four hours). Just a fantastic game, love it...

According to the article in Playstation magazine, Naughty Dog says that UC2 is around 15 hours long.

With limited time to play, I'd rather have a short game I can finish and replay than one that goes on and on.

Cool. That sounds just right to me. Was that from the review in the November issue? I have that issue but I refuse to read the review until after I play the game. I know that's ass backward but I'm trying to avoid potential spoilers.

Also, in that November issue (on page 56) they mention that Matthew McConaughey is rumoured to being considered for the role of Nate. I dunno how I feel about that. Although he was great in Sahara (of which Dirk Pitt is pretty much an archetype for Nathan Drake), I dunno if I can buy him as everyman Nathan Drake.

If just were based on looks, I'd go with Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica):

Wow. Great choice, lookswise, DGibFen. Sadly, I've never seen a single episode of Battlestar Galactica so I dunno how good he is as an actor.

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I will admit that when first played Uncharted, I though Nathan Fillion was the voice. However, isn't he a little old for this? His Mal Reynolds is basically an older and more embittered Nathan Drake. Unless the movie takes place several years after the first two games, I just don't see it happening.

But who am I kidding? I'd be there day one for my man crush.

I was way wrong. That's not the end.

Also
Spoiler:

fighting that Yeti seemed WAY out of place. And the way the game handled during that section was a little disappointing, seemed to reliant on twitch reflexes and speed. But my Sherpa to the rescue was pretty awesome.

he would be great if they ever make a movie, the dialouge in the game seems like it was written for someone like him.

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

I am getting so pumped up and excited about tuesday.

Is that sad that the only thing in my life at the moment that gets me super excited is getting Uncharted 2?

I view Sam Axe as just another alias of Victor Sullivan.

How's the audio, Liver&Onions? Particularly the gunfire. I love how immersive the sound design was for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune but felt that the gunfire and explosions were on the whimpy side. Has that improved or is it still the same?

I've got no complaints thus far about the audio. I have been playing with headphones and not my full setup, but it still sounds great.

Audio options are abundant, ranging from stereo, to headphone, to dolby 5.1, LPCM 5.1, LCPM 7.1, DTS, etc.

Well I'm glad to see they kept the massive list of audio options from the first game. Either way, if it's at least as great sounding as the first game (wimpy gunfire notwithstanding), I'm sure I'll be in for a treat.

Now if only they'll release the score to both games on CD.

Re: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Just a heads-up that Fry's will have the game for $49 on Tuesday.
Price will be good for a few days and you can get a rain-check if it's out of stock.
