I'm surprised there's an install (even if only 1GB) given all the talk of how this game wouldn't require any install whatsoever.

Like I said - it's seamless and doesn't say it's installing anything. BUT the back of the case said it required 1000mb of space, which to me means there's some background installation going on.

No big deal. 1GB is a small price to pay. Especially if there are no load times between levels or cutscenes. That's something I loved about the first game.

After all the hype of "OMG THIS IS THE BESTEST GAME EVAH!!!!!!!!!!" I figured I'd try this out. Played the (very short) demo of the first game, and tried every mode in the MP demo of the second game.

No question that this is going to be a great game, and I know I'll purchase it down the line. It's certainly better than Killzone 2, which was fun but overrated. But there's nothing innovative here, it's just a well done Gears of War clone.

I don't remember GOW having puzzles or wall climbing/jumping gameplay. Other than they are both 3rd persons shooters I think that is where their similarity stops.

Gears was great, no doubt about that. But I feel the presentation here exceeds that of Gears. Mind you - I haven't played Gears 2 yet so if it changed up dramatically from the first, then perhaps they are on par.

From what little I've seen, the graphics and environments are better here than in Gears. But Gears has Bender, so I guess it's a wash.

I'm pretty sure that all your multiplayer stats and trophies will be deleted when the game hits.

I thought the demo was just OK. I'm still extremely interested in the single player portion of the game though.

It's MP only, but it includes a few co-op scenarios.

Yeah, they're really pushing the MP aspect. Which is funny cos when a sequel was first announced, Naughty Dog was adamant about downplaying the very notion of multiplayer in this game.

the MP is fun, and the SP reviews have been stellar, but no mention if it suffers from the same problem as Uncharted 1, that being way too SHORT SHORT SHORT.

I like "short" games. Six to eight hours translates to "replayable" for me. It's the reason that I played RE4 10-15 times and Uncharted 4-5 times.

Conversely, I doubt that I'll ever play Oblivion (for instance) again because it's just such a commitment.

Yeah, Uncharted is short but it's a whole lot of fun packed into it's short playtime. Supposedly Uncharted 2 is bigger but still brisk. That's fine by me because I love replaying the first game over and over again.

Same thing happened to me with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I played it so much, I could beat the game, while finding all the hidden fountains, in one four hour sitting. And I still never tired of the game. I still play it from time to time.

I personally don't consider UC1 short .

I think I got about 8-9 hours out of it-- which in my world is perfect.
