It's definitely in my top 3 of this entire generation. Resident Evil wishes it could be as good as Dead Space.

The latest RE sucks compared to Dead Space.

RE is unplayable to me without co-op...and I don't care what they say, let me shoot while moving.

Re: Dead Space

Just beat this the other night and got the one gun trophy. Now I'm playing through it a second time trying to get the trophies for 30 kills with the various guns. Then I have to get that stupid "Don't get cocky" trophy from the asteriod shooting part. The highest I have finished is with 40% although I feel that I will eventually get it. Also, I need the trophy for Zero G basketball (which is silly and somewhat frustrating). Then I have to get the impossible playthrough trophy which I'm not looking forward to. Any pointers on the impossible playthrough? Thanks!

The Zero G basketball is actually extremely easy and somewhat entertaining once you learn how to do it. The trick is not to jump around - just stand on the foremost platform, grab the ball with kinesis, and shoot it. Of course, it helps immensely if your kinesis is fully upgraded as you won't "lose" the ball nearly as often and have to go chasing after it.

Get the Level 6 suit and upgrade it. I believe if you beat the game twice and start the 3rd playthrough on impossible, you get to keep the fully upgraded suit to begin with.

I think you start over with the weapons, so pick one weapon you really like and upgrade the hell out of it. I think the Plasma Cutter is the best one in the game anyway.

Shoot off legs first. This slows them down.

Don't feel you need to kill everything. There are some creatures you can just run by (especially if you shoot the legs off).

It's really not that difficult. Once you start upgrading your weapon, the game gets much easier. And if it's your 3rd playthrough, you should know where everything is anyway. The game doesn't throw anything extra at you... the enemies just take more shots to kill.

Re: Dead Space

In the impossible mode do they add any more enemies or do they simply take more shots to kill? Also, is ammo really sparse or is it available like on other difficulty settings. This is the main trophy i'm missing (besides zero g basketball) that I need but I do not like playing difficulties that are overly annoying. Thanks for the help!

Re: Dead Space

Im actually doing the same thing tonight. I decided to try for the trophies but Im already at a problem.

Im doing the second play through after loading the first complete game. Its starting me all over with everything I got ported over. However, it didnt ask me to change difficulty. So if I want to get the 'impossible mode' trophy, how would I do that? I need to start a new game? But will all my shit port over? The second playthrough automatically set me at med difficulty.

Re: Dead Space

Not sure about PS3, but I assume it's the same as for the 360 - Impossible mode is ONLY available after you beat the game and get past the credits. There is an option to start a new game on that difficulty level. After you've skipped past that, it's not available from the main menu.

Re: Dead Space

After you finish the game, you have to start a new game to get the impossible mode, otherwise it continues your second playthrough on the same level as the first. That's why your weapons don't carry over.

And it's the same amount of enemies on impossible... just more shots to kill... and ammo is sparse (i.e. the ammo I did find was for weapons that I didn't even have.) It seemed that way for me anyway.

Re: Dead Space

Well I fucked up huge here.

I decided to go for the beat the game with one gun, as well as get all the others I missed minus impossible. One that I have to get is upgrade everything. Well it wouldnt be as bad if I hadnt SOLD all but 2 of my guns on the first play through. Now I have to rebuy, buy a shit load of nodes and I cant even get my level 6 suit.

Stupid fucking game...

Find out about one of those credit glitches and use it to help you recoup your weapons. As long as you have the plasma cutter and are playing on easy you can stockpile stuff that you can sell to buy your weapons and ammo. I got all of the trophies except for the impossible one and zero g on one and a half playthroughs. Now I'm going to finish the second playthrough and then start the impossible mode, which I'm not looking forward to, in order to get the platinum.

Even with the credit glitches and with the cheat codes, one playthrough isn't enough to max out all the weapons; you won't get enough nodes/credits. I think I had to go through up to level four or five. I would guess that you can just pick up all the weapons on your next playthrough.

Re: Dead Space

Well I found the credit glitch here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgWIfeWODnI

In about 45 mins I got 600,000 credits. It was enought to get my suit, the last 3 weapons, and about 20 nodes (60 total) per weapon. Got my maxed out trophy so now I can have FUN just playing with the one gun to get the trophy. I also need that trophy "Dont get Cocky" I will try 19Ks idea for the slow mo effect.

Than my final play through will be on impossible. Ive read that I may be able to use my level6 suit, but that it may be a glitch.

I read that was a glitch too, but it worked for me. You'll know if it works if Isaac is wearing the Level 6 suit during the opening movie.

Re: Dead Space

I've started this game 3 times now...and every time, I lose interest. It's odd, because I like pretty much everything about the game on an objective level. It's just not doing it for me for some reason.

Re: Dead Space

I got the "Dont get cocky" trophy in about 15 minutes. It wasnt as hard as I thought, and I didnt have to use the pausing to make it slow mo Now all I need to do is beat the game with the one gun (doing that now) and than later beat it on impossible mode.

I dont know how youre losing interest chess. I love the game and the fast pace of going through it without worrying about updating or how much shit you can carry is a blast!

I beat the game lat night and I got the last trophy of beating it with one gun.

Now I just need the impossible trophy. I tried out a new game on impossible and sure enough I had the level 6 suit!

Re: Dead Space

just started this today. only to the first save station. gorgeous to look at, got into the controls and creeped by my first baddie. needlesstosay, i was taken by it instantly.

i just hope there are frequent save stations. i like to pick up and play and playing for a few and then saving is what i enjoy the most about the gaming experience.

They did a great job with Save Stations so don't worry.

Play this game, Lights OFF, Surround sound turned up, and at night. You'll shit bricks when you see it and hear it...

funny you say this because i was actually thinking about this and thinking of holding off playing because i would have liked those conditions for this game, but with DST and lighter later in east...my game window is usually 5:30 to 7:00pm so i will have to make do. i was taken with it right from opening frames and want to stay with it.

happy about those saves too, thanks.
