Re: Dead Space
Dammit.
I started and lost interest in this game again...for the third time. I make it a little farther every time, which is good, but there's always some other game that captures my interest...this time it's Darksiders, and I just ordered Bioshock 2.
I'm all about the sci-fi setting, it's super atmospheric, it looks amazing, and it's technically very competent, but I'm just not into it.
I also got the Wii Dead Space, and it's a very good game. It's not capturing my attention the way HOTD: Overkill did, but I have a feeling I'll at least finish the damn thing. Strongly recommended for anyone who likes the first game and has any interest whatsoever in lightgun shooters.

Re: Dead Space
^ i know what you mean chess. i was going along all fine and loving the game. then i got Borderlands and swore i was just going to play a little bit just to make sure the slightly used game worked. i have been hooked ever since. i keep telling myself i am just going to complete one more mission and then put DS back in or level up one more, but that was more than a week ago.
i think it is all about right mind set and time of day for this game. i tend to have about a 1-2 hour window that i can play and that is during daylight hours and it is warmer now so it takes away from the experience i think. but, i fear i will get frustrated with Bl for a bit and can't wait to pop this back in.

Re: Dead Space
just finished this terrific horror adventure. don't think i have ever jumped that much in a game ever. very glad i went back to it.
question about very end:
not sure if i just missed it from a log or it was just used very effectively for the intended effect, though a little off from a mostly original tale that i don't think needed to be lumped in with other games that feature this particular aspect.
looking forward to January!
