My B:AA still has not shipped to.
they did this to me with Madden 10..
It shipped from a center in Kentucky around 3 am & it was on my door step @ 2pm release day.
I really don't have time to play stuff till the weekend anyway..

I got my shipping confirmation from Amazon in the middle of the night. It should make it here today.
For those of you who don't get it today, complain to Amazon and get a giftcard.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
Finally, a stroke of good luck for me. I put Batman AA in my queue for both PS3 and Xbox, and I got shipping notices yesterday for both systems. lol

Braved a midnight release at Gamestop last night. A lot of interesting people out that late to pick up a game. Including some young kids (must have been 8-10 yrs old)!
Anyway, on to the important thing. This game ROCKS! I played the demo and wasn't that impressed. I mean it was good but felt I could wait for a price drop. Then I read all the glowing reviews and how they compared it to Bioshock and I got drawn in by the hype. So, after work yesterday I stopped by GS and preordered. Figured might as well get the free challenge map while I'm at it. The visuals, atmosphere, sound, music, acting and most importantly gameplay are superb. It really captures the spirit and gritty realism of the latter Batman movies, which I think were based off the Frank Miller Dark Knight series (?). The combat flows very well. I was pulling them off somewhat easily and it felt like I was doing a combat ballet out there. I like how they incorporated Batman's gadgets as well. I just have the ones you start with but still they are fun to use. And the detective mode works very well too. The only thing I was disappointed with was the Joker Challenge Map. It seemed kind of lame although I only played it once.
Bottom Line = this is a must have game if you are any sort of Batman fan at all. It is very well done and most of the reviews out there have gotten it right.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
I read someone say they will buy the PS3 version later for the Joker missions...
Isn't the Joker stuff exclusive DLC via a voucher? That's one time use stuff, is it not?
BB has mine waiting for me in the store. Can't wait!

Less than 2 hours until I make the trip to TRU on my lunch break to get the game and the $30 gift card. All this and I'm still waiting for my RRoD 360 to be delivered after the repair.
Wow...I'm such a sucker.

Ugh. All these positive reviews and talk has gotten me excited to play the game (and i wasn't intending to buy it). The fact Toys R Us will now give me a gift card that essentially makes the game 30$ (since we will just roll the gift card into a Christmas gift or something for our daughter) now pushes me to go pick it up at lunch.

The only one-time use download codes were for "Dem Bones" challenge map (Gamestop exclusive), and the "Crime Alley" challenge map (CE exclusive), although speculation is these two will be available as DLC later.

picked mine up @ Gamestop an hour ago. Went to TRU for other stuff and the clerks commented I was the only person that came in the store today and DIDN'T get batman.

I've never seen the ghetto Tulsa TRU so busy on a Tuesday morning.
I was the first of 5 people in line at the VG desk right at opening. They didn't have gift cards to give out and were scrambling to find some, because I guess they're special for this deal and the regular ones won't work. They found one for me, but I have no idea what happened after that.

I picked up a copy an hour ago at lunch from Toys R Us and he looked around for a special gift card, couldn't find one, so he just gave me the general one with the 360, PS3, and Wii logo on it.

Hoping I can get my hands on a copy of this today without it costing me $50-$60.
Luckily school is back on so the kids won't be able to scoop me on the rental place.
