Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears
I gave him the keys too and now can't find it either at the fort or in the museum hope I'm not SOL on getting that armor. Also regarding bugs and freezing, the PS3 version seems REALLY bad. I have the GOTY edition and the last few missions of Broken Steel were SUPER choppy at times. I also had like 3 games freeze in a row while just doing random stuff around the Capital Wasteland, still a great game but that is a huge annoyance.
Also, am I the only one who gets their ass kicked in Operation Anchorage? I was like level 19 when I tried it and still got wooped, so now I'm completing some side tasks and am up to like level 23 hoping that'll give me a better chance. People online said to play that one first so I can't imagine how hard the other DLC is (though I did play Point Lookout for a few minutes and got my ass kicked in the Mansion before reverting back to the save I had right before I took the boat).

He says something to the effect that he know just what to do with the keys and needs to go on a trip. As he started walking away I trailed behind him and as he left the Underground he started running and then I took him out.

Picked up a brand new copy of the PS3 GOTY edition for only $24, even though I still haven't played my copy from the PS3 CE (but I figured getting each DLC for less than $5 apiece was worth it).
Having already heard about all the bugs that riddle the DLC on the PS3 version, I hope Bethesda releases some patch for this in the near future.
Is there already a patch that allows game saves from the original PS3 disc to work with the GOTY edition?
I may just start playing the regular version and then get to the DLC when patches make it playable ...

I think that place was still fairly hard (for me, but I do generally suck) at 30 due to how many shots it took to kill some guys. I think I may have turned down the difficulty for a bit after about 15 deaths at the same spot (and I saved a ton).
Also unless they've changed it, there's a guy in Point Lookout who you can get to 100 percent repairs with a little effort. If you want to figure out how just look up

My most recent manual save was a while before even getting the keys, and by going through the door, the game autosaved. I decided the armor wasn't really worth it in the end.

I just got this game for Christmas. Never having played the first two, I'm really having a hard time getting into it. There just seems to be way too much going on, too many things to remember and to do all at once. I'm in Megaton and have no idea what I'm really even supposed to do in there.
Does it get less confusing and easier to follow? I thought this was primarily going to be a FPS game more like Bioshock. All the talking is boring me to death too.

Basically do whatever you want, whenever you want.
You can play the game any way you want, which is why I think it's so great. Don't even want to do the main storyline? Fine, wander around the wasteland and shoot stuff and discover new areas. Play as a prince or an asshole. Do whatever you feel like.

Most people that went in this way were disappointed. Bioshock was an FPS with some RPG elements, Fallout is an RPG with some FPS elements.

Bioshock is a great game but Fallout 3 took gaming to the next level for me. You could play Fallout 3 for a hundred hours and then start all over and do things differently the next 100 hours.

Loved this game and basically finished it over the weekend after 90+hours of playing.

I wish they had more of a definite ending you could work towards. Something along the lines of working to clear the wasteland of mutants and other creatures to try to get the land heading back to the way it was. However, I do enjoy the fact that you can roam wherever you want to and do what you want. I've put over a hundred hours into it and still haven't found all of the locations on the map.

Your main goal is your looking for your dad, talk to people around town. You may also pick up other quest instead talking to the townsfolk. Bring up your Pipboy and under 'DATA' there will be a 'QUESTS' heading where you can review what your supposed to be doing, and even pick one that will be your active quest.
Most people that went in this way were disappointed. Bioshock was an FPS with some RPG elements, Fallout is an RPG with some FPS elements.

I'll give this game another few weeks, but if I just cannot get into it, I'll just sell it and pick up Left 4 Dead or something.

You have to admit though, if you can give a game "a few weeks" and still not finish, it is pretty good.
I am not sure why you said there was too much to remember. With yout PIP, I didn't think you needed to remember anything, gust set a waypoint and go.

Just remembering all the features and how to use that thing is too much to remember. I'm still trying to learn it all.

I have put in just under 38hrs of gameplay on my third go aorund on this game and still have a lot of stuff to find. I can easily say this is my favorite game I have ever played as I simply can not stop playing it. I just wish the PS3 version wasn't so buggy. I swear every other time I am in V.A.T.S. that is freezes on me for about a minute or two.

I just started playing and it looks like dialogue isn't based on the Intelligence stat. Is that true? How could the developers have left that out? That was a staple of the original two games, and it was hilarious playing through them as a retard.

Next dumb question: How do I get into Rivet City? I found the way through the first section of the ship to the door underwater, but now I'm stranded in the water between the two ship halves. Doesn't really help that its night out too and I can't see shit.
