I heard there is a perk that lets you clone your dog, so no more fear of taking him out just to watch him run into a pack of Super Mutants and die.

Anyone have a list of all the new perks?

Looks like Broken Steel is live for download. I've been holding off on Anchorage and the Pitt until the level cap was raised, so I've got a fair-sized chunk of new Fallout to play this weekend. Sweet.

In an odd combination of poor quality assurance and truth in advertising, Bethesda's new Broken Steel DLC is apparently causing problems for PC and 360 users. PC users are reporting a "cryptographic message is not formatted correctly" error, and 360 users are having difficulty activating the new-and-improved Project Purity mission. In short, you'll probably want to hold off on the DLC download until Bethesda creates a fix.

Stop snickering, PS3 owners.

Tomorrow, my girlfriend is leaving for two weeks so I'll have the house to myself. Thursday, I'll be wrapping up the last final of my first year of graduate school. I will be pissed if there's not a patch worked out by the weekend.

I heard the errors were only on the PC side had to do with drm. The only problem with the 360 version was achievements weren't sinking up.

I can't believe it's happening again. I didn't have any issues with the previos DLCs but I'll wait for this one.

And I was too excited

I was holding off but I'm willing to accept this so I'll probably grab it tonight.

"the Xbox Live servers don't seem to be fully synched yet with the additional Achievements. Microsoft is looking into it right now so that the Achievements folks have gotten will show up properly on Live (the game awards them, they just aren't showing up right on Live for some reason). People won't lose any Achievements"

Anyone playing this?

Do I have to beat the game first? Cause I've been using a save I had right before the last mission.

Ya you have to do that last mission to start it basically. You complete the final mission and then wake up two weeks later.

Yeah, I got it working.

This really should've been the original ending for the game. Really like this DLC set. It seems pretty long.

Just finished Broken Steel. Now THAT is how you end a game. That last part was HARD! I almost lowered the difficulty a few times. The best of the bunch when it comes to DLC. The new perks are cool.

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

I downloaded Broken Steel for the extra levels/perks but haven't even finished the main quest yet, and I've already hit level 30. Haven't played Operation: Anchorage or The Pitt yet either.

Levelling is way too easy in this game. Now I feel like I'm wasting potential experience points (especially if they increase the cap again in the future).

Well, I'm not leveling quick at all. But that's probably cause I got Fawkes killing everyone for me.

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

It was easy to level until I finished the DLC about halfway into 25. Then there just weren't fast enough spawns. So I parked all my followers to get all the kills myself and took the "show map" perk which got me about 29 new spots (mostly radio towers and stuff) and enough kills to get me pretty much to 29, and I ended up just taking the Here and Now perk since I was totally out of new areas. It was easier on Neutral and Evil since I could kill most of Megaton and stay Neutral and kill everything and stay evil.

Yeah, I saved right before going to level 29, and then used the Here and Now to get to 30. Then I loaded up and stole a lot of stuff, and got into others computers to get evil so I could finish out the 1350 achievements.

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

I finished this up last night. It was very long. And as invincible as I thought I was, my character got her ass kicked. I must have used close to 40 stimpaks during the whole Broken Steel.

The Tesla Cannon is freaking awesome. My new favorite weapon. I will now wander the wasteland electrifying everything I see to level up.

you couldn't save right before hitting 29, use here and now to hit 30, then use the new perks (highway to hell, etc) to get the neutral/evil achievements, then reload your original save? anyone know if that works?

I thought about that...but for some reason I did not try it. It should work though.

What button do I keep pressing that makes your character walk really slowing but fully upright? I can't even jump. It usually happens when I'm in the heat of battle and pressing the tab button. I try every damn button on the keyboard but always have to revert to a previous save to get full control back.

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

I finally bought Broken Steel for the PC version, but now the game crashes frequently - the only other difference being that I'm now logged into Windows Live (or whatever it's called). I know I could just move the DLC and load it like a mod, but my new save files only are accessible when I'm logged into Live. It seems like kind of a pain-in-the-ass system.

Re: The Fallout 3 Thread Of Exploding Teddy Bears

in addition to freezing are you finding spots that you should be able to walk through but can't?
