I have some tips.
Level up your explosion skill early on for the first true mission.
Focus on Small Guns, Lockpick, and Speech. Others swear by Science and Repair - hard to argue with those 2 skills. Melee and Unarmed are nearly useless. May want to start off increasing your Strength so that you'll be able to hold more weight. This will come in handy later on.
Your first mission outside of the vault requires a decision that will affect you the rest of the game. Without trying to spoil anything, know that going evil can be luxurious.
Don't be overwhelmed by the choices and yes, that's ass-kickin' Liam Neeson doing the voice work.

Heck. I wish I'd upgraded Strength earlier on. I had to drop some valuable loot in order to finish a quest before going back to Megaton. I can't argue with anything here. I'm a big fan of upping my Speech, but it's hurt me when I didn't have enough in Lockpick or Science.

When I looked for the download about 2 hours ago it wasn't even showing in the market place...maybe they yanked it until they fixed it.

Yeah they took it down to fix it. If anyone already bought it, they can re download the fixed version when they put it up.

just beat it on the pc, didnt play anchorage, but this was very much like the regular game. You get options to go with one or the other. I went the bad Karma way heh. Some cool stuff.

Well I always take my time on games. I have never beaten any game in one hour. That's just too fast.
But I took breaks on the game. I didn't sit through it all at once. My overall play time on the DLC was around 4 or 5 hours.

Yeah, 1 hour is too fast for me. I also spent around 5 hours, the afternoon when it was released. I actually wish I'd taken more days.

If it wasn't so linear, then yeah. But unless I just stood around or admired the textures, I couldn't have spent 4-5 hours in the expansion. I explored what I could, but there wasn't much depth at all. I hope The Pitt amends that and doesn't run so linear and shallow.

Update on The Pitt, it's uploading now. It should be available for download this evening. If anyone downloaded the earlier version, you will have to delete it and re download at no additional cost. Also make sure to use your games saves created before The Pitt dlc, just in case anyone saved after downloading The Pitt yesterday.

There's one more that will change the ending and up your max level to 30. At least, for 360 and PC users it will

Just finished the Pitt. MUCH better then the last DLC. I am one who actually enjoyed Operation Anchorage, but ultimately it was more of an amusing 2 hours then an actual Fallout quest. The Pitt, if you actually try to get all the achievements, for me at least was a solid 5 hours. The whole quest was amazing looking, the story was interesting, there was multiple ways to finish it, and lots of killing. If it was part of the original game, it would have been one of the high points. Easily worth 10 bucks.
