They really had their shit together today. I almost picked up 3 d dot heroes but decided on the kiddie Marvel Hero game for my son instead. using the two $15 coupons I got last week, I walked out of the store with L A Noir, Marvel Heroes and a $20 gaming coupon for $32.48 out of pocket.
Walked in, none of the new games were out, no one staffing electronics. 5 minutes later, find someone. 15 minutes later, he returns with the game. Go to checkout, free game doesn't register. Mention the deal, manager acts like I'm trying to pull a fast one since it's not in the ad. Show them the Kmart blog on my phone... still dubious.

So she tells me she's going to find a computer to look it up online for herself. After the website proved to her that I wasn't a liar, she was then convinced first that the $20 coupon was the free game. Then I was told that I needed to buy LA Noire and it would print 2 coupons. So eventually I was rung up 3 different times, two of which will get credited back to me at some point, but I still have 3 pending charges on my account instead of one, and I think I lost whatever Rewards points I had when the transaction was initially rung up.

Online Kmart guy seems to want to make this right after hearing my story, but it was still frustrating as all hell.

At Kmart, interact with the cashier as little as possible. NEVER try to explain the deal to them. 9 times out of 10, the cash register software will do all of the work and take care of whatever deals/coupons you are supposed to get. If not, just smile, walk away, and email Josh (the Kmart Gamer guy). He will take of any issues and make it right. It's not exactly ideal, but it will work.

Re: Whatever happened to LA Noire? -here's some info

Some people work during the day too.

I picked up my pre-order at my non-midnight-equipped BB and they had none of the dlc cards. Went to the one Tulsa-area store that did (71st, dsa_shea) and went up to the BB.com pickup counter and they had a stack. I told them the story, showed I had picked it up already at the other store, and they gave me a card with no problem.

I won't be posting any impressions on the game until I've played it for a long while....same thing I did with Alan Wake.

I definitely do see why now a lot of people make such a big deal out of their purchase though to as well....whereas before I though you were all just cheap bastards

I figured. I was able to get some in last night and now am at work so I won't be able to sit down and play until after 8 I was hoping we had some dead beat dvdtalkers with no job and stole money just to buy the game. I am pleasantly surprised.

I've been playing it for the last hr or so and it's pretty good so far. The fighting is fun and shooting setup is pretty easy to use as well. Love the look/feel of the game. I've only done 4 or 5 missions and already made Detective.

Yeah, 16 pages and almost nothing on the game. I get it, but it's almost like a new thread should start once people are actually discussing the game itself, not rumors of a release 5 months away or a KMart clerk. Just sayin'...

I got in on the Kmart deal no problem. Free game and $20 coupon, easy peasy. What I'm wondering though is if there's anything preventing me from buying another copy and getting the same deal (like if the rewards system will only let me do it once). Because I was considering buying another copy, flipping it at Amazon, and keeping the extra coupon and free game.

I have nothing to really comment on but you have a great user name.

He "just says", all the while not commenting on the game.

10 pages!

I've installed all three discs to my Xbox. Does that count as game talk?

It's tied to your SYWR card, but the limit is two, so you could do that once more.

by the way I couldn't help but jump at the chance add a little more Kmart talk to this thread.
