I can't say the same. I don't want some yellowed P.O.S. that used to be owned by a big chain smoker that smells as bad as it looks. Maybe that's just me.

My second refurb had a huge crack in the grill so I'm glad I didn't get that one back. I was furious at that one. They wouldn't fix it for free either.

See, I don't mind the refurb as long it's in as good of condition as the one I sent in. Any differences will be noted and asses will be kicked.

Any official word on the Stranglehold demo yet?

EDIT:

A mod over at the official Midway forum said that the demo will be out on the 8th, so in about 24 hours from now.

Is there a release date for Project Gotham 4 yet?

I see one at ebgames for early September but if it's that soon, I'm surprised more stores aren't taking orders?

I have that exact same feeling. I think it'll either end up being pretty great, or it'll be the biggest disappointment of the entire year. I could see it getting reviews in the 5 to 6 range with the words "shallow", "repetitive", and "barely updated Max Payne clone" tossed into any number of those reviews, but I really, really hope not.

CheapyD from CheapAssGamer named it something like his most surprising title of E3. He said on the podcast that he expected th game to be complete crap, and it was actually really well done.

The Xbox LIVE Arcade team just published a list of titles coming up in the next several weeks, just in time to finish up summer.

From the media alert that just went out:

Hot August games also releasing this month:

“Ecco the Dolphin” (Sega) Cool off with this fun, whimsical update of the classic undersea exploration game featuring everyone’s favorite bottlenose dolphin, Ecco!

“Hexic 2” (Carbonated Games) The highly anticipated sequel to the popular puzzle game “Hexic HD” will have gamers racing to solve brand new challenges, including an all new two player Battle mode.

“War World” (Ubisoft) A pure adrenaline rush, War World features powerful armored mechanoids battling head-to-head in all-out savage single and multiplayer battles that combine action and strategy.

Sizzling summer launches hitting in the coming weeks:

“Geon: Emotions” (Eidos) Engage in the unique sport of Geon, where you must master a diverse range of emotions to best your opponents.

“Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords” (D3Publisher of America, Inc.) Addictive and easy-to-learn, this game integrates story and character progression elements found in RPGs delivering a brand new type of game that pushes the puzzle genre to a whole new level.

“Space Giraffe” (Llamasoft) Created by genre-defining game designer Jeff Minter, “Space Giraffe” is a psychedelic shooter that spans 100 levels, all set against vivid, pulsating backgrounds that synchronize with any custom music selection.

“Streets of Rage 2” (Sega) One of the most popular side-scrolling beat ‘em ups of the 90’s gets the Xbox LIVE Arcade treatment, complete with enhanced graphics, sound, Achievements and multiplayer modes.

“Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix” (Capcom) This game combines addictive puzzle action with favorite Capcom fighting characters including Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Morrigan.
The girlfriend is going to want Hexic 2 and Super Puzzle Fighter. Me, I'm digging GEON: emotions.

I missed the Puzzle Quest boat before, so I'm down for that and Puzzle Fighter.

I've never heard of Geon and i have Puzzle Quest on the DS... although if it is 10$ and has multiplayer i might be courted to buy it again.

I'm an head over heels in love with Puzzle Fighter so i will pick it up for sure.

No love for Space Giraffe? Tempest has always been a favorite of mine so this
is my most anticipated title.

Yeah, erasing or not having demos show up on your compare games list to
begin with. The lists get far too long and unorganized with them there.

Ooo - Puzzle Quest and Puzzle Fighter are must-buys for me.

Might get Streets of Rage 2 as well, though I'll have to see how well it has aged.

- changing the current A-Z keyboard to a QWERTY keyboard for messaging
- Marketplace overhaul (it's a mess trying to find things)
- erasing games from your profile, whether it be arcade demos or full retail games(rentals and such). With all those your profile is a mess.

I want either clan support or an expanded friends list.

I'll second (or third) erasing games from your profile. I guess it's not a big deal, but it'll be nice. When my girlfriend created her Live account, at the end it auto-booted my Enchanted Arms, so that shows on her list already. I don't have too much of an issue with the marketplace but I would really wish to not be assault with ads for shit I have no interest in.. I'm PAYING for the service and I have fucking see Sprite, McDonald's and T-Mobile ads everywhere.

You must listen to CheapyD. I agree. If I'm paying for Live, I should have an ad free experience.
