OK, I think I FINALLY fixed it. Forwarded some ports, made sure NAT was still open, and it hasn't disconnected in the last 40 minutes. Crossing my fingers.

Anyone here have NBA Street Homecourt they would want to hook up and play online for some achievements before I have to return it to Gamefly?

I got Homecourt. When do you want to get your ass handed to you, er, I mean hook up?

Tonight if possible. I played 10 last night and went about 50-50. Had a quitter as well. I was up 16-2. Fucker. He got negative feedback.

I had 4 wins in a row before losing. That 10 in a row achievement is pretty difficult, especially with quitters.

Yeah, I didn't play it online much after playing with a few lamers. Local is the way to go normally. Me and my friends have a good time with it. Either way I can try to get on with you tonight and we can get those achievements. Round what time do you think you'll be on?

My wife's on third shift, so probably all night. I'm heading out on vacation this week and want to get it back in the mail to Gamefly before we leave so I can have a fresh one waiting when we get back.

I love those video reviews. Reminds me of that cool CD magazine Interactive Entertainment from years ago.

I didn't see this posted anywhere else, and just noticed it on the xbox forums. I'm planning on buying the Heroes HD set regardless, but here ya go:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/...ddvdplayer.htm

"In advance of the street date for the Heroes: Season 1 HD DVD boxed set, Xbox LIVE members will be able to download the show’s pilot episode free in high definition for a limited time. Members will also be able to download trailers, teaser scenes, and other promotional materials highlighting the Heroes: Season 1 boxed set on HD DVD."

Alone those same lines, I just noticed that the pilot episode of Jericho (HD) is now available for free download.

I picked that up last week. Not sure how long that's been up.

Question on the HD downloads.

I don't have HD yet, but if I download the HD versions of whatever can I still watch it on my SD TV?

I tried to download that. 1.9 gig - it downloaded over night and all day while i was at work and it was still only like 35% done. It is crazy the HD download takes so long when SD stuff flies by (even accounting for size difference).

Blockbuster will be sending out $10 coupons apparently (this may be for Blockbuster.com members only). I'm sure SPEEDY has some deals in the weekly deals threads in the DVD section.

As for the Heroes download...will it be the longer 75 minute version? I will download it though....great show. I caught on a bit late, so I watched the first couple of episodes on my PSP

Senko no Ronde is AWESOME. We played a couple of hours of versus on Saturday. Once I'm done with Enchanted Arms I'll probably practice up a bit to hop online with it, I'm guessing this will be an okay game to jump into random matches with.. I don't see a lot of the annoying kids playing Halo and Gears stinking up random matches on this one, so it should be safe. If anybody else picks it up, let me know, we can schedule some matches.

I downloaded it when it first hit, as well as a few other vids, and it didn't take too terribly long. I've got cable, and regularly get 800K/s on my wired line, so probably a little less through the 360 wireless.

Quake III Arena is coming to XBLA! I was hoping for Quake I with how much I enjoyed the Quake II freebie that came with Quake 4. Still, Arena is definitely one FPS I'd be willing to throw down on with anybody here that picks it up.. hopefully they can refine the controller controls a bit.. they worked well enough in the Quake II freebie, but probably needed a little bit of that Halo locking for precision aiming.

Well duh. It''s got like 230 more lines of resolutions. I'd hope it takes at least 230 times more longer.

Did you not read my taking into account size difference? 1.9 gigs should not and doesn't take that long to download on either my PC or 2 gigs worth of demos and other files off the marketplace.

I think they have them on different servers. And the "media" server is typically a hell of a lot slower than the "demos/XBLA" server(s).
