Is it the sort of thing you can request at the P.O. itself? On the way in to work anyway, so if a 5-10 minute detour will speed up the return by a day or two, I'd be willing to do it.

My local post office only scans them about 30% of the time. Very annoying.
It isn't just slow when the post office doesn't scan. Processing for non-scanned games seems slow too.

Well, I actually went by the post office a bit ago to ship some stuff and took my latest Gamefly return and asked about it. She was clueless. She said that if it has "postage paid" they just put it in the bin to be shipped. No scanning. I pressed further saying, to my knowledge, they are supposed to scan it so I can get credit for it shipping sooner and she said they don't do that, that it must be on their end.

I guess I need to speak with someone else. I have no problem going to the post office to drop it off if I know it is being scanned(the PO is on my route to work). I just need to get them on the same page and start scanning.

Here, they won't, but that's because the processing facility (where they scan items) is not at the post office itself. So my guess is that YMMV.

Yeah, but I'm only referring to the Fast Return program, which is based off of the scan.

I used to get fast return when I used Gameznflix, games would show as returned the same day I dropped them in the mailbox. The only exception to this was the month before I cancelled. So far with Gamefly it seems like fast return has yet to work. I am using the same post office I always have also, I do not know why if in the past they scanned they would stop all of the sudden.

Man, I got my 4th game today - shipped Saturday. I must be on some nationwide supply artery from LA to the Right Coast or something. Not complaining.

Had to report one of my games as lost to get them to ship out my next game (8 business days after I dropped the game off at the post office).

I'll be getting #4 tomorrow, which isn't bad, but the 'fast return' would just be that much sweeter.

Turn around time on the east coast wasn't too bad. i dropped it in the mail on Fri (didn't get the early check in ) and the replacement shipped out today. Really odd thing though is all day one game was listed in the "games in progress" section (which I thought meant it was getting ready to ship) but when I checked it this evening an entirely different game actually shipped and the other one is still "in progress" BTW I'm only on the 1 out at this point so it's not an issue of the 2nd game getting ready to ship.

Just canceled Gameznflix; they have stopped carrying new XBOX360 games, nothing has been added in a few months. Some titles like DiRT and Shadowrun do not even show up as on order. Plus they have dramatically reduced the number of HD DVDs carried. Too bad, b/c last year this was a great service until about Sept/October.

My game I sent back Saturday was shown as returned today. However nothing was sent out in its place is this normal. The next game in my Q was "low" but the second title was "high" I thought they would ship the next available title. I find it hard to believe that none of the 15 or so games in my Q were not able to be shipped today. Hopefully my top choice will go out tomorrow.

That is weird. The last one they sent me was actually the bottom of 11 or 12 on my list with a few Mediums and Highs above it.

That's exactly when it went to hell for me as well. Canceled it and went back to GF at that point, and haven't once regretted it.

Same here and this sucks. Since my 360 died this weekend, I returned my two 360 games on Monday and went to my queue and moved all my PS3 and Wii game requests to the top, like 12 of them. The problem is, I didn't remove my 360 games, I just moved them all to the end to save the hassle of having to add them back later when I get my replacement 360 from Microsoft. So today I get the notice that they received my games and I go and check my queue to see what they are getting ready to send me. So far, they are sending me a 360 game even though there are at least 5 or 6 high or medium available games above it.

I had to call them I have had 1 open spot since Monday and they still were now sending any games even though I had some in my Q with "now" for availability. Now I am getting Spiderman 3 I am so excited, which was about 10 down in my Q.

I have Spider-Man 3 from them now as well. Pretty much sucks, so enjoy when it gets there.

I ordered godfather on Monday, it shipped tuesday and received it Yesterday. They do have 1 new game in stock, and that is Darkness. That is it though. If Godfather hadn't been shipped by wed, i was going to cancel.

I just signed up again (couldn't use the free trial as I'm a returning member) and they haven't shipped a game to me yet. My account was opened yesterday morning. I'm used to netflix, so how long does it usually take for them to get the ball rolling?

Well, one game never arrived. This was the 4th one I should have received. So 4 out of 5 have arrived.

Also rechecked about the scanning at the Post Office. Spoke with a, what seemed, more informed clerk and he didn't have a clue about scanning stuff either. I guess fast return is out for me.

counting the second copy of Darkness, i've had a perfect 8/8. It definitely seems like I could get my money out of this, but I have so many games to play with anyway I never get to devote the time needed to these rental games

I joined Gamefly again back in March or so and have had outstanding service. Their turnaround is a day or 2 slower than Netflix, but I've had nothing but good luck so far through about 20 games.

For some reason they have been owing me a game for the last 2 days and haven't sent one, but this seems to be a rare occurance.

Well they sent my latest game on Monday and it got here on Thursday - that's about the best they've done.

However, between Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Rock Band and Guitar Hero III, not to mention my ongoing WoW subscription, I'm thinking I'm going to cancel out soon. Just won't have the time to make it worthwhile.

I just dropped the last 2 back in the mailbox today. Hopefully they receive them both. My Q is clear and I'll cancel as soon as they update my status.

Overall a pleasant experience and if I could do the 1-game-at-time for $5.95/mo (with the brightspot.tv credits), I'd probably do it. $72/year for games that I want to play but can't justify paying for seems a good deal. I just can't get brightspot.tv to work reliably yet.

I have yet to receive word on one of the games I returned last week. First 2 games and I already have to report one as lost? This sucks.
