On a side note, I noticed the "kickin it Old School' theme actually costs points. Is this the first promotional movie theme that actually cost money?

There is a demo up for Midway's new FPS Blacksite : Area 51 on the marketplace. Got it downloaded and briefly gave it a go. I'm not a fan of squad based games, but from what I can tell it's one button for all squad commands, then depending on the situation they will take the appropriate action (ie. move to, breach, etc.).

So what was their response?

Out of curiosity, how did that work? Did you just say "I post at DVDTalk.com and other people reported the same!"?

Just thought it was interesting that DVDTalk would be brought up in a conversation with support

Squad-based as in X-Com squad-based? (Wish THAT game would get some Arcade love.)

I tried mentioning that I saw numerous other reports of systems going to the 3 rings of death online after the update and the guy told me that I can't believe everything I read online. he then told me that I was the only call they received about the issue. I so wanted to tell him "well, you can't believe everything some shitty CS rep tells you either" but I bit my tongue.

I don't think so, it's been so long since I played X-Com I don't remember. It's close to Star Wars Republic Commando, your cursor changes depending on what your pointing at then the 'squad function' button issues that command.

I haven't heard this from anyone else, but the update messed up my streaming video playback from my Windows Media Center notebook. Ugh.

after the update my xbox no longer automatically logs on to xbox live. not a big deal but I liked it the other way better.

P.S. I already checked to make sure that my setting is set to auto log on.

will I run into any possible issues using my dead Premiums HDD on my Elite until I get a transfer cable? I'm guessing no, correct?

Shouldn't be a problem. My friend is doing the exact same thing and hasn't run into any problems as of yet.

Hey, how do you delete your credit card info from your 360?

I fiddled around with it, and only saw a way to add a new CC, but no way to delete an old one. There's gotta be a way, right?

So with the TVersity update, the 360 can still stream all selected video and audio, correct? I still cannot get TVersity to work for me, but I can using WMP. The problem is that WMP does not play most video files (Cranky Geeks played for me, but most of my files are divx/xvid files). Anyone have any suggestions? I've read the faqs, etc, and opened ports, etc, but nothing seems to work. I couldn't get Media Connect to work, but WMP works fine, but I need to get TVersity to work to get the maximum benefit.

Any thoughts? It would be greatly appreciated since I would love to be able to stream.

I think my 360 is on it's last legs. I had some random freezes in the past, and some disc read errors recently with Perfect Dark Zero. A couple nights ago, after the update, Far Cry froze on me, then I got the red ring on reboot. But after letting it sit overnight it's working again. I'm still under a year and bought the warranty, but even if it doesn't die, the 360 has crashed on me more than any system in the past.

Well it just happened to me. Thursday I did the update. Turned off my xbox. Today i turn it on and try to watch an HD-DVD. As soon as the movie started it locked up and gave me a checkerboard on the screen. Turned it off and back on. Three rings of death. Tried it 5 times in the past hour. Same thing. Fucking bullshit.

Updates worked fine for me. But, if you had an older version of tversity you have to install the new one, then copy the 360 update files into the proper directory, replacing the old files.

The new folder view is pretty cool, plus I only realized after this update that I could change the output of my avi files to 1600/900 video resolution and it almost has an HD quality on my tv.

My 360 would get about half the usage it currently does if it wasn't for TVersity.

I've been using Orb for my 360, I wish MS would just give up and up the stream capabilities

It takes a pretty beefy PC to run TVersity doesn't it?
