IGN's review of Oblivion
The review also mentions that the load times are twice as fast as the 360's.
8.5 Presentation
A great collection of connected and unrelated storylines build one of the most fully-realized worlds around. The zippy load times are welcome but the abundant bugs are irksome.
9.0 Graphics
The framerate catches and there's pop-in, but the texture work is outstanding and the level of detail is top notch. Good animation and lighting effects too.
9.0 Sound
A professional vocal cast does their job well even if they are hampered by audio bugs and the sound effects are highly effective. The soundtrack is immensely enjoyable.
9.0 Gameplay
Plenty of customization and a strong action-based combat engine are what the PS3's first triple-A RPG is all about. The open-ended design goes a long way.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
Chances are slim that you'd ever be able to do everything with one character. With all the sidequests and possible character paths, you're looking at more than 100+ hours easy.

Yes but you need an adapter to do it. It uses the USB controller charger cable to connect. You'll be able to put saves from a PS2/PS1 memory card onto the PS3.

They better release a patch that'll let you take a PS2 save off the HD and put it back onto a memory card. I was really pissed when I saw you couldn't do that.

I still like Resistance...but I'm a big FPS fan.

wound up getting it on the 360 instead, due to the increased user base on that system
but yea, absolutely magnifiscent game. I can't think of one that has impressed me this much in the past 3 years, at least

Why not just wait for the 360 version? Won't it have extra stuff?

Looks like they have all their eggs in one basket, of course he is only going to talk-up the PS3.

The scary thing is the fact that EA of all companies has been the only one to show some signs of figuring out the Wii, however, most of its games are ports and it could be argued that the PS2 versions of their games are still the superior ones either in graphics, control or both.
People can bash the PS3 for being overpriced, but thanks to the Blu-ray drive and HD ability my PS3 has been used daily even if its mostly being used for movies, music and PS1-2 games. I will at least say there are several PS3 titles I want when they drop in price. There is currently nothing I want on the Wii other than Paper Mario when it is released.
I've probably put 200 hours of use on my PS3 compared to 30 hours on the Wii I bought a month earlier. The Wii is going to be destined as the system I pull out every 3-4 months to play the big Nintendo 1st party exclusive.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with Darkside for the most part. The games have been hugely disappointing, and the control just isn't precise enough for what they were trying to accomplish.
I'm not going to call it a gimmick, because the DS suffered in the same way. I'm just hoping people can figure out how to utilize the controls to add to gameplay, instead of recreating it.
