360 Premium $399 + HD-DVD $199 < $599 PS3 Premium
The only way $249 works as "a 360 + HD-DVD for less than a PS3" is if MS is comparing a 360 Core + HD-DVD to a PS3 Premium. This may be the plan, but I hope not. $249 is indeed too much IMO.

Just noticed a dedicated forum on xbox.com for Destroy All Humans 2. I hadn't seen anything on these boards about it.
With DAH2 and Mercenaries 2, my list of wanted BC games is dwindling, since I can just pick up the sequels instead.

Xbox 360 outsells the PS2 in the US
By James Orry - 16/05/2006 - 3:56pm GMT
For the month of April the Xbox 360 saw hardware sales of 295,000, eclipsing the PlayStation 2 by 90,000 units.
The hardware and software sales figures for April across the US have been released, and show the Xbox 360 as the top selling platform. The Xbox 360 shifted 295,000 units, a number 90,000 greater than the PlayStation 2, which only managed 205,000 units.
The figures are also very positive for Xbox 360 software sales, which maintained a tie ratio of 4.5, and five of the top six grossing video games were Xbox 360 titles. Placed from second to sixth are the Xbox 360 titles, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Major League Baseball 2K6, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, and Tomb Raider: Legend.
After a successful E3, which saw Microsoft announce a host of exclusive new titles for the Xbox 360, together with exiting plans for Xbox Live, things are certainly looking good for the Xbox 360. The console has now sold approximately 1.5 million units in the US and Microsoft is hoping to reach worldwide sales of 10 million by the time the PlayStation 3 hits the market in November.

I got to play some games today with forum members I had never gamed with before.
Are there many people here who own Battlefield 2? I rented the game and I am really having fun with it. I'd be tempted to buy it if there was interest in a clan. It's depressing that the single player game reuses the same maps so many times but other than that I am really enjoying the offline portion of the game as well.

So I guess no one is playing "Blazing Angels" right? I figure it's the "Crimson Skies" of the 360. I've been playing the Demo and it's pretty sweet.
But then again I think many of you get motion sickness just playing Halo.

Anyone here with an Australian 360 know if the Japanese Fight Night 3 works in this region? I've seen a couple of websites with region listings but no one seems to have tested it in my situation.

Much like your comment that Nintendo should not release anymore games for Gamecube, you falsely assume that EVERYONE will immediately jump into new hardware and completely abandon current hardware.
If I was offered a PS2 ($130) and 17 $20 games ($340) = $470 I would still take the 360 and ONE game.. Yea, it's that good...

That is one thing that bugs me about downloadable content, the high potential of a company witholding game features that should be there off the shelf just to make a quick buck a few weeks later.
It is a slippery slope and one that is not good for the consumer.

Still, I don't think it's surprising at all and I was simply contesting your statement of "having a problem" with it. If anything, it just shows that Microsoft still has an uphill battle ahead of them and that the real mark of 360s mainstream success will be the public's reaction to the PS3 price when it hits in November.

Just wanted to chime in with my blog. As you all know I've been w/o my 360 for about two weeks for repairs. Here is my blog today:
Sith Draven's Xbox - 05/18/06
Where is Sith Draven at? I want to disown him. I am putting myself up on eBay ASAP.

On that note it's nice to see that stores have 3-4 360s at any given time now.

I agree, that report is a joke.
