Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Well with how he was saying business is down, unless the producers won't let him come back, he might do it just for the $$$. I'm sure producers might even let him come back considering Dave appearing would probably boost ratings for that episode.

As for Nabila, how far is Hollywood from Orange county? Besides, they seem to go all over the place. Ricky and Bubba travel 2+ hours one way in SWT (I google mapped where Lampasas was) to the Dallas area each ep.

The show isn't set in Orange County. It's filmed all over Southern California.

They film at multiple auctions over the course of time then pick out the ones with the best hauls to air. I'm sure she would do it if she has time.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Maybe but the bulks of the episodes are in the OC. Most of American Auctioneers auctions are in the OC and Inland Empire, which we have also seen a lot of. I lived in both LA and currently in the OC, so I know this area. Been to Brandi and Jarred's store a bunch of times.

As for distance, it's not that far in terms of miles, maybe 35-40. But with congestion it's awful and it's always congested. That's why Barry is late so often. He lives in Beverly Hills. It's also why you never see Nabila in the OC and IE events. Jeff comes a very long way, which is why he isn't featured often and is usually at events easy to get to, like the northern IE.

Why would that help?

If he is gone that is something I would personally be glad about.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Tonight's episodes definitely seem to be further auditions for a new cast member, but no one really seems a good match yet. Sad to see Mark in there. He was a lot of fun on the show, that guy.

I am definitely not out though. I like the remaining cast and the concept way too much for that. However, if they could not consult with pageant queens in the future, that would be great.

That was the lamest skit ever. That kid was so obviously being fed her lines.

Barry's gag with the condom, now that was vintage Barry.

I agree with all of that... Barry is the reason why I still watch... I dont get the obsession with Brandi, I guess whenever you throw a slightly above average looking woman in a field dominated my guys, she becomes a 10 to them... lol

I'm surprised nobody mentioned one of the funniest lines last week when Darrell mentioned how he "Can't wait to get his hands on his unit"

Brandon did make me laugh at the end with his fake hurling at Barry

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Yeah Brandon got Barry good, but you could tell that kid was in bad shape.

And Brandi's appeal is she is naturally lovely without trying. She's not carved up from plastic surgery or underweight from being a gym rat. She's got a business and two kids to keep her busy. Her clothes are un-glam. Yet she still looks good. What's so hard to see about that?

I actually like that we are seeing a bunch of different people. I say keep it like that and rotate Dave's 4th spot with all the different nut jobs. That way we don't really get sick of any one person.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

New season began, at the same time as Deadliest Catch. I was not amused.

Darryl is now claiming he found more paintings after that massive haul that's worth a total of a million, but even the others were calling bullshit. Balelo appeared, as did Nabila, who looks like she aged 10 years in the past 2.

Barry was Barry. "Nabila isn't getting her hands on my parts." But he did well. He bought a locker of motorcycle parts for $1800 and sold it for $10k.

Nabila found a ventriloquist dummy and took it to Jeff Dunham. he valued the dummy at $85. So she didn't do so well.

Sheets found a pretty nice rug and Jarrod skipped out on anything. It was another nice Yup-free episode.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Liked the Dave crack at the end about who the new mogul is.

Surprised they still haven't done any "in memory" notices for Balelo. Either they've got more episodes they filmed with him in it, or his stupidity of suicide means he doesn't rate in their eyes.

I thought they did one on the first new episode after his death.

I'm surprised they even used episodes with him. I mean, the man was using drug money to buy lockers.

I don't remember them doing one.

Jeff Dunham lives in California? Doesn't he have a daily show in Vegas?

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

I don't remember an In Memory for Balelo either.

I am going to miss Balelo too. He would've been the perfect Dave replacement. Now I fear we are going to get stuck with Nabila.

It's a source of constant sadness that Barry is not my uncle. I mean, what a cool dude he is.

What's so bad about Nabila? She seems like a good replacement for Dave. I take her as a serious threat to the others. But like someone else stated, I don't mind the rotating fifth wheels.

That's how I found out about his death. It was a marathon either the day of or the day after his death that they had the "in memory" and I went on line to check it out.

Unless I missed it, Balelo got a couple lockers but they never showed him going through and pricing the items.

I don't like her much because her reputation & tough talk are seriously out of whack with her actual performance. I keep hearing what a threat she is, but she's yet to show much. At all.

I would still take her over Jeff Jared though. He's the worst.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

When it comes to shows like this I have no idea why they put focus on what the people are doing, maybe I am in the minority with this one in not caring about what the people do and just curious about the finds. They have to dramatize everything these days, even shows that have no need for it.

Re: Official Storage Wars Discussion

Hester's posting on FB that the ratings for the show are proving they screwed up by not having him on it.

Yeah right.

He was the most annoying thing about the show.

I actually think the show is really suffering without Hester. You really need that bad guy character type and they just don't have it now.
