So I guess this means K-Ville is officially dead. Only had one unaired episode. Not sure Anderson can support a lead after watching him in that show.
Does that mean Sisto steps up to the lead character on the detective side?

No. This sucks. While I think Anthony Anderson is actually a decent actor, Jesse Martin is one of the main reasons this show is still as good as it is.

Oh well, it was a good run.

ACtually, I think I saw that one. Of course I didn't know he was in it before I went. And I look at it as a whole. If it is a minor part in a good movie, I will likely overlook it. However, when he has a co-starring role and is a major character, like on L&O, Transformers, and shit like that, then yes, I skip it.

It's hard for me to imagine Anthony Anderson fitting in well with the format. He's not exactly the epitome of culture and refinement. Frankly, he doesn't play educated people very convincingly.
He was terrific on The Sheild, and not bad in a few things since, but his recent morphing into a "serious actor" has done notihing for me yet. He's still the turd who was in Kangaroo Jack to me.

Wow... While I generally like Anderson, this is terrible. It's not the format for him. Plus Greene is the man, and is the last link to the Briscoe days. I love his new role as the Senior Senator of sorts, adapting to the role the way Logan has on CI.
Goddamit, and I was really starting to like the chemistry of this new cast....

I have watched this year, and Martin and Sisto are good, but I do not really care for "Order" part of the show. The new Prosecutor guy is annoying and so is the woman sidekick.

I'm sorry, I meant in a Partner sort of way. Logan, for example, carried over from the two previous detectives into Briscoe, who transitioned Benjamin Bratt's character and then Greene. Briscoe was around for so long, I liked that the mantle went to Greene and he seemed to be now moving into the role of the senior detective, taking on more volitile, less seasoned partners... only now we get a few episodes of him in this role with Lupo, only to be replaced by another youngin'.
No fair, I tells ya.
And is AA going to be the same overzealous screwjob he played in SVU? NOT looking forward to that, since it's already been established that Lupo plays it a little fast and loose.

I hate that this is happening. Perhaps they could get bring over Belz or Ice T from SVU instead of Anderson?

I think Anderson has really stepped up and become a decent serious actor, but this is not good news. Even though L&O has thrived in spite of major cast changes over the years, I don't know if it's stable enough at this point to lose a nine year veteran.

My wife is going to have an aneurysm when she hears this news. I'm not too thrilled myself but am willing to give him a chance, but my wife absolutely hates him. Love Martin on the show, but he has been on it for a long time.

and technically she is PRE Briscoe even because she played a victim (or maybe a suspect) in one of the old old ones. I think it was back when Stone was the ADA.

It was first season if I recall correctly. She played the mother of an infant that was killed when an illiterate hitman(boy) fired shots through the wrong apartment door because he misread the address he was given.
