There's an interview with Linus Roache in next week's TV Guide (Week of 2/4) that's a pretty good read.

Agree completely - lazy and lame writing, which is something we don't expect from L&O.

The magic couldn't last forever.
Hopefully they will rebound next week.

Hope it's better than last week's ep.

I thought the whole ep. was excellent, except when they arrested the FBI agents. NEVER happen.
Other than that, the mortgage scam stuff was very realistic and I liked that the chick basically got away in the end. Nice to not see it wrap up neatly sometimes.

Agreed. I like when they lose every once in a while. Also nice to see that Cutter wouldn't abandon his principles to supborn perjury just to win.
The city cops arresting the terrorist-crazy overzealous feds WAS a fairy tale... but a cathartic one.

Great episode. I liked how Cutter was going to allow the lawyer to testify, but then changed his mind.
Crazy how they still couldn't figure out who that chick was. January Jones is hot, btw.

Good ep last night.

Call me crazy, but I find female psychopaths incredibly sexy.

Yes. January Jones is hot - even in the bulky 50s style clothing she wears in Mad Men
Good episode. Like how they concentrated on the grand jury process instead of the usual trial. The arrest of the FBI agents (and 'prisoner' exchange) was absurd however.

Law & Order "Illegal" (02/13/08)
Surprised there wasn't a thread yet.
Synopsis:
** My thoughts on the episode **
At first I was miffed that McCoy asked a special prosecutor to take the case... I thought that they were giving Cutter a break, but was happy with the "twist" in the middle that put Cutter on the case. I really like Cutter as ADA.
The look on Connie's face when Jack was on the stand was priceless. She so wants Jack now.
Line of the night - "Now I know why Adam Schiff was so grumpy." - Jack McCoy

The guy wasn't really a "special prosecutor;" just another ADA in the office. The problem I had is why would Jack have an ADA who had no experience prosecuting a cop put on the case.
Decent episode. Funny thing is that you could never quite gauge Jack's politics, except where he stood in relation to another person. If anything, he was a pretty middle-of-the-road type, so it was pretty funny to see him attacked as a liberal.

I've really been enjoying this season. I think its the best cast since Det. Green started.
I like how this season we've consistently seen the victims in the pre-credit sequence before they were killed. I don't think anyone has just stumbled upon a corpse like they have so often done in the past. Adds a little more weight to the episode in my opinon.
Also, I've noticed in at least 2 episodes, including last night, there has been a cha-chung date stamp of Tuesday, September 11.

I liked the scene between Cutter and Lupo (especially for all the comic book weenies out there, like myself, was nice to see a scene share between 2 Batman related actors: Jeremy Sisto is the voice of Batman in the upcoming "The New Frontier" animated movie and of course Linus Roache was Dad Wayne in "Batman Begins")

Very good episode. That line that Jack had about Adam Schiff was awesome and was great for a laugh.

Law and Order Cast change

It looks like Jesse Martin is leaving the cast, and we'll be getting Anthony Anderson as his replacement. Needless to say, I am not pleased.

I like Anthony Anderson and he has good range from his comedy, to more serious stuff like The Shield. So I am interested to see how he will carry this role. I've always disliked Sisto but he has proved me wrong so far.
And Martin has been on for a long time, it was only a matter of time really.
