This week's been fantastic so far; can't wait for the McGregor show Friday.
(Regis could be good too... or annoying. I can only take tiny doses of him at a time.)

Wow. They were close to suing the guy, before Craig had him fly out for the show on Monday after the guy contacted him personally and explained he was a fan of the show.

I never thought that I'd see Salman Rushdie do the Secretariat dance. Or Russell Crowe. Or Tom Selleck. I still have to see Sid do it though.

Ok...Regis brought the fun and the funny last night.
I mean he always does, but last night was really good.

The cold open was hilarious. Craig: "If you're easily offended now would be the time to watch Jimmy Fallon."

Craig: "This weekend is a big anniversary if you like alcohol. You know, the booze, the happy juice, the Randy Quaidohol."

Craig: "There's your double wammy right there. No booze and you have to listen to women's opinions about stuff."

Craig: "It couldn't have been much fun being a cop during the prohibition. I mean how much of your heart's going to be in that job. After a big bust how do you celebrate? Good job men! We shut down the huge whisky operation. A round of water for everyone."

Craig: "Alcohol was still legal in Canada & it's very hard to defend 3,000 mile long border against savege out of control Canadians."

Really enjoyed Michael Franti's performance and the spoof of Craig's cold opening singing segments

Speaking of Kristen Bell, I decided to go to You Tube and try to find some of her earlier appearances. This isn't her first appearance; that one from '05 is a little stilted as Craig was still trying to find his talk show legs. In this one from 2006 you can tell that they are really starting to like each other.

per the rsa news
t’s another week of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show. First up on Monday are actress Lucy Liu and journalist Richard Wolffe. On Tuesday, Craig welcomes CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric and author Dennis Lehane, recorded last month. On Wednesday, it’s the always entertaining actor Russel Brand, comedian Al Madrigal and the music of Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. On Thursday, Craig laughs with actress Carrie Fisher and meets 1997 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Jody Williams. And on Friday, Craig;’s guests are actor Neil Patrick Harris and musican Nellie McKay, who was rescheduled from last week.
Im currious to see Richard Wolfe of all people, as he writes for Newsweek and is on Olbermanns show often

Awesome. My wife has become a huge fan of Russell Brand's lately so she's extra stoked about Wednesday night's show. The rest of lineup is pretty much in our wheelhouse, too.

I still don't get why everyone thinks Kristen Bell is so hot, but I tell you what, she's outstanding with Ferguson. They have such awesome chemistry and she'd be a great side kick. Obviously this will never happen on a full time level, but they should do a week with her on. 1000x better than that skinny guy (AJ Greer?)

Just watched the interview with Katie Couric. I've had a thing for her for ages now, and it turns out I still do. Tonight was one of those nights I lived vicariously through Craig Ferguson. Absolutely delightful.

Loved the cold open with Bob Saget last night.
Saget: "Hey, I'm Bob Saget." Craig: "That's pretty dirty."

Craig: "Old man winter isn't just kicking America in the balls it's kicking Europe in the balls too. In England there's a record snow storm. Everywhere you look is frigid, grey mushiness. But enough about English people. We're talking about the weather."

Craig: "If the weatherman promised me a huge storm and then we don't get it I get mad at him. I'm like where's that 8 inches you promised me last night." Geoff: "In your pants."

I'm no fan of Katie's but i thought she was pretty good last night. She seemed relaxed and just went with it, and she played the mouth organ.

I remember when she replaced Deborah Norville on The Today Show, and I remember hoping they'd keep her because she was so damn cute. I hate mornings and morning people, but I found her irresistible. I haven't really kept up with her much over the years (like a lot of people, I haven't received my news from TV in ages), but I can say without fear of being hyperbolic that was easily the most entertaining and interesting interview I've ever seen her give. I felt like Craig managed to find a way to get Katie the woman to have a conversation instead of Katie the news anchor navigating an interview.

Seemed, as MinLShaw just said, Craig broke Katie out of her shell and had a good conversation.
Craig is so engaging, he just has the best interviews with willing participants and even those who might be/are on guard, he disarms them and still can pull out a good interview with them.
