I thought it was a great episode. This may have been a slow episode, but this show is so great that a slow episode is still better than most tripe on the tv.

Watched the season premire. I liked it. It didn't seem slow to me. Although it's like previous "Wire" openings introducing characters and getting the pieces in place.
I foresee a Snoop&Chris versus Omar showdown at some point.

thats if you keep it for the month, BUT if you only keep it for the release DAY it works out to about 43 Cents an episode
....WHen i worked for a cable company there were people who would do jsut that order HBO fora day then cancel it the next and do this week in week out.....

And to show how Marlo is keeping his hands "clean" from Five-0 while regulating.
I can not wait for Snoop to go down. I hated her last season, and it looks like I will be subjected to her more this season.

After watching this first episode, I'm definitely waiting for the dvds, just so I can use the subtitles to understand what the hell half the characters are saying - they're speaking English, right?

At least with The Wire I know there won't be a cliff-hanger when the season ends.

Does anyone know if they will contine to put the show on HBO On Demand before the Sunday it is suppose to be broadcast? If so, when does the episode go up?

Pretty good episode. Great way to start up a new season though a little heavy on politics in comparision to the Wire and Marlow though I imagine like always a proper balance will be formed. I was watching with a bunch of people who hadn't seen the show before but were interested in the series so I may have missed a detail or two while explaining. The only negative I found was the opening credits, bring back the old song (even the remix that opened Season 3).

Great episode this year. Most/all of the reviews out there for this season point to it being stellar.

Did anyone else think that the guy who is running for mayor kind of was supposed to be like Martin O'Malley the current baltimore city mayor?
