It's available in Itunes as a video podcast. All the little special behind the scenes for the season are (or at least were). Check under Podcast - HBO

They're also available on On Demand if you have that service.

The finale was great IMHO. I really hope McNulty will have more screen time next season.

I still think this episode doesn't stack up as well to other seasons. To me, once the focus on the police was lessened, it's quality wavered. Don't get me wrong, this is still one of the top 3 shows on TV, but this season just didn't have the same feeling. I'm excited about Season 5, since it seems that they'll be focused on taking Marlo down.

Meanwhile, HBO's "The Wire" closed its fourth season Sunday, notching its biggest audience for the past two seasons. An influx of 1.9 million viewers was enough to bring the drama's season average higher than the previous season, to 1.6 million.

But "Wire's" premiere numbers tell only part of the story. HBO made the unprecedented move this season of making episodes of "Wire" available on its HBO On Demand platform for six days before each premiere data. In its first week, the six-day preview attracted 188,000; that haul rose steadily over the course of the season, peaking at the finale with 650,000.

So does this mean HBO might give them a sixth+ season(s)?! They deserve it.

From the Simon interview on the front page

The big thematic heavy lifting was done in Seasons 1 and 2, when Ed and I were figuring out what we wanted to do: how many seasons, etc. We came up with five. We talked about many things; nothing seems substantial enough for a Season 6. When other writers came onto the show, George Pelecanos, Richard Price, we would throw it at them: This is what we came up with, five things. If there's anything else you have, any ideas for extending the series, say so. There was no general agreement on anything but the five. When I've done my begging with HBO—and begging it is—it has been on behalf of those five seasons. To be honest, one writer came up with another idea, and a really good one, but we realized that it would require so much research on our part that we couldn't do the work quickly enough to keep it in this dramatic world.

This is the kind of show that could go on for a 'Law & Order' time.

They have so many (almost too many) great characters, that I'm sure if the ratings were Sopranos level, HBO would be begging them to continue after Season 5.

The show has been amazingly good throughout it's entire run and this season was excellent, but did anybody else feel like that during this the show has moved beyond it's original premise?

Maybe your vision of the original premise, if you've read anything of the David Simon interviews, you'll see that the show was always planned with this Arc, so the story is one of a city Baltimore. It's not a show about wiretaps.

If it had been just about wire taps, I don't think it would have lasted this long. There is only so much they can do with wiretaps.

Especially if their commanders order them not to do them anymore.

The same interview he also discusses the idea of the Hispanic population explosion as the perfect material for season 6, I think the line is "they just wrote season 6".

And my point was that HBO seemed to drag out the renewal of this every year. As long as Simon and Burns decide when and how the series ends, I will be happy.

Finally got around to watching the Finale today. Great ender and setup for Season 5.
I can't WAIT for Snoop and Chris to bite it (and Michael now too). And Snoop is a chick?!
I was to see Bodie go.
Glad that McNulty will be back in a major role next season, he was one thing I missed this season.
Will Marlo really be crazy enough to try and take out The Greek?

He probably couldn't take out the Greek if he tried. I think the highest we'll see in that food chain is Vondopoulos. At the end of season two, if I remember right, they talked about The Greek never coming back to Baltimore. He'd be insane to do so.

I didn't take it as Marlo wanting to take on the Greek so much as to understand his patterns and remove the middle man (Prop Joe). Marlo is just the type of cat that doesn't like to be in the dark about anything that is related to his business or that he is dependant upon.

January 10th is when it starts, which is the same day The Sopranos starts on A&E. I think BET only has the rights for seasons 1 & 2.

I wasn't just sad to see Bodie go, I thought it was stupid to have him go out like that. Very everyday-TV-like. First thing I've ever complained about with the show though, as it is my favorite ever.
