I liked this episode, but part of me....way down deep.... felt sorry for Charlotte.

Good episode.

Looks like Samantha might actually have a "real" relationship again.

Sure you feel a little sorry for her, but after what she said I can't imagine any man getting past that. That had to be one of the most hurtful things anyone could say to another.

I too thought SJP was overacting a bit, but then I thought about it within the context of the episode and thought it was great. She's really in LOVE and is just sooo happy about it. I mean, it showed on her face in the one scene where she was just going on and on and being so happy and berger says "Nice hat" and she was completely floored. Great episode!

I dunno, I was kind of surprised that Charlotte & Harry broke up over that. She had did so much for him, and then slaved away for a week to cook that meal and he didn't even pay attention. That coupled with her friends questions on whether he was planning to marry her or not just sent her over the breaking point. You say hurtful things when you have a meltdown like that, but I think her meltdown was justified. She had been doing so much and all she wanted from him was a firm commitment.

I hope they get back together before the end of the season, I have really liked those two together.

I think it's not WHAT Charlotte wanted, but HOW she WANTED it that pushed Harry over the deep end.

I never thought of Harry as a particularly devout Jew.

Didn't he say the reason he had to marry one was just because he promised his mother?

She said something to the effect of:

"Do you know what I have given up for you? Do you know what other people out there say when they see you with me? When they think how can he be with her?"

His response was:

"I know what other people think. I just didn't think you were one of them."

Of course, that whole argument was already explored when they started dating last season. Initially she was not attracted to him at all, and he figured he didn't have much chance with her but he pursued her anyway. She got turned on by his relentless pursuit and finally had sex with him and was amazed it was the best sex she ever had. They often had argumentrs where she was sort of embarrassed by his looks (last season when she concinved him to wax the hair off his back when they went to the Hamptons.) She still fell in love with him anyway.

So what she said to him was pretty much a truth in their relationship. He had ackowledged as much before that she was far better looking than he was.

I think she was just saying, that hey I've looked past the looks thing, and I've given up a lot for you, and I've busted my ass to be with you-- so now are you going to marry now or what? I can totally understand her meltdown.

I can see them arguing about it but it seemed like an abrupt thing to break up over.

When that Georgia woman began to talk, I was .

Also loved when Miranda told those girls about the not interested thing. "Bitch." "Who does she think she is that bitch?"

It's one thing to acknowledge that Partner A is more attractive than Partner B in a relationship - that's normal. It's something entirely different for More Attractive Partner A to believe that Less Attractive Partner B is "lucky" to be with them and owes them something.

I rewatched this episode last night. And have to agree with those who said SJP overacted if only just a little. Just wanted to ask, how many episodes do we get this summer? Twelve?? I check HBO.com and it didn't say. I believe the numbers were twelve now, and eight in January.

Who are they? (Jennifer Coolidge and Amy Sedaris?)

I rewatched the last few minutes of the show an I mentioned earlier that she was overacting again, but put into the context of being 'in love' and that it wasn't too over the top I guess I can accept it.

Also loved Berger at the end washing his face wearing a scrunchy.

thanks, I just don't get why people find her attractive.

I remember her from American Pie and she does nothing for me...

I think she is an excellent comedian. She was hilarious in "Best In Show" and "A Mighty Wind".

Harry was right to walk out. Just like he said, you knew that Charlotte would throw that "gave up Christ" comment in his face again and again. However, he is ugly. I mean, Tolkien-world ugly.

Honk!

Amy Sedaris was one of the two women who talked Carrie into compiling her articles into a book (aka NOT Molly Shannon). She is the sister of David Sedaris (author of Me Talk Pretty... and NPR). She also starred/co-wrote Strangers with Candy on Comedy Central a few years back. She most recently co-wrote Wigfield with Steven Colbert and Paul Dinello and is doingh staged readings with them across the country with them. Aren't you sorry you asked?

I dunno, I think Harry is kind of sexy. He's not a guy you'd see walking down the street and pay a second look to, but the way he pursued Charlotte and his brash demeanor make him sexy. Men often don't realize it, but confidence is extremely sexy. Most guys won't even try to woo a woman, especially if they think she might be out of his league.

Evan Handler was probably the best thing on that God Awful show "It's Like You Know" (except for the extremely hot AJ Cook). He has been in a ton of shows for guest spots as well. I think that he looks pretty normal looking for a bald guy. He lost his hair due to Leukemia, and wrote a book about it ("Time on Fire: My Comedy of Terrors").

Not a great SATC, IMO. I am already getting sick of Berger, and am interested to see how they work the new actor recently cast into the show...
