Looking forward to Paul Rudd tonight. No comment on the musical guest - I now realize that time has passed me by because I don't know who the fuck that is. Back to my Sinatra 78's...

Unfortunately I do know who DJ Khaled is. He's produced some of the worst pop music imaginable. His "we the best music" refrain makes me want to shove my head in a woodchipper.
Hoping the writers have some good stuff lined up for Paul Rudd though, because he can be hilarious with the right material. I'm not holding my breath.

I know this is not the popular option but depressing the season ends tonight and the long boring summer is around the corner.
I assume Khaled will bring some big names since I have never heard him sing or rap and all he does he is interrupt a song with a shout out.
He is close to me in age.

Never thought I would see a rap song about Grace & Frankie.

I can't remember the last time I saw an episode of SNL with a musical guest I gave more than zero shits about, it's probably been over a decade.

That could be almost everybody from the 2018-2019 season though some I respect as musicians but I don't listen to their music and some were ok but I would not buy their music

I hope Jost is doing ok after WU last night.
Surprised Heidi Gardner was in only one sketch last night.
I hope McKinnon comes back and most of the cast stays intact for the 45th season.

Wedding bells are in the future for actress Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost of "Saturday Night Live."Johansson's publicist Marcel Pariseau tells The Associated Press Sunday that the private couple is officially engaged after two years of dating.
Pariseau says no date has been set for the nuptials.Johansson, 34, was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds and journalist Romain Dauriac, with whom she has a daughter named Rose who was born in 2014.
This is the first marriage for the 36-year-old Jost, who is the co-anchor of SNL's Weekend Update. The couple recently walked the red carpet together at the premiere of "Avengers: Endgame," in which Johansson plays the character of Black Widow.

It is interesting that with all the publicity that Pete Davidson gets, and all the attention paid to his personal life on SNL, that Jost's relationship never gets mentioned.

I think Pete Davidson's relationships get a lot of publicity simply because he's nowhere near good-looking or successful enough to get Grande or Beckinsale - even though I'm sure the Beckinsale thing was a publicity stunt on her end. Jost is considered good looking, so it's not a total mismatch.

Until this episode I've never seen a performance where the 'main artist' came off looking like a total doofus who was actively making the songs worse. If you want to see something hilarious, watch this 'live performance' where he doesn't have any buddies to carry the show for him:

Maybe he should just stick to DJing and keep his mouth shut.

DJ Khalid has absolutely zero talent and zero purpose. I agree, he makes songs worse.
He's the worst hype man ever. At least Flav had a clock.

Is he finally done or just bluffing?

The back half of Saturday Night Live‘s Season 44 saw a decrease in cold opens revolving around Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump, and as the actor reveals in a new interview, he’s unlikely to reprise the role of the president when SNL returns for Season 45.
“I can’t imagine I would do it again. I just can’t,” Baldwin said of playing Trump in a USA Today interview that published Friday. “They should find somebody who wants to do it.”
When Baldwin first played Trump on SNL, in 2016 and 2017, “that was new, it was fresh and the ratings were good.” However, following a season where the SNL cold opens didn’t resonate with viewers or connect comedy-wise as years past – no Trump appearances landed on Rolling Stone‘s list of the best Season 44 sketches –Baldwin admits, “I feel like I’m done with that now. I’m so done with that.”

Good, Baldwin works best in small doses.

I wonder if they'll give Darrell Hammond the role. I don't know who else on the cast has a Trump impression.
Maybe Trump will have a massive heart attack before next season starts, and they won't need someone to play him.
I can dream, can't I?

Its probably wise to retire from the role as I'm starting to dislike Baldwin due to this role. Not a fan of Rump at all but he does such a good parody its starting to bleed into him being well him.
